It didn't say anything about a hotel...just a two level casino and parking garage. The new casino in Arundel Mills doesn't have a hotel either. Will be nice if it has a hotel. More comps for me to use in vegas!!!

They will probably contract with a harbor hotel. I have been back to Baltimore twice since 2004. But I go to vegas 8-12 times a year.

I am a little disappointed with the location as it isnt really within walking distance to the stadiums are inner harbor.

Hopefully table games get passed in November and the 6th license is approved for MGM at the National Harbor.

if Maryland Live at Arundel Mills is any indicator, this location will also be a gold mine. If Maryland approves true table games, then I suspect MGM's planned casino at National Harbor will be generate the highest revenue in Maryland, if not the entire east coast.

In hindsight, I knew I should've moved to Vegas in '04 to work/learn in the casino industry, to eventually come home with experience for the same kind of job. Back then, I thought pigs would fly before Maryland approved any casino.

I'm kinda surprised to see that Steve Wynn isn't getting involved with the MD casino business. After all, he got his start managing a bingo hall in Maryland.

I'll probably continue to limit the gambling to Vegas when Caesars comes to B'more. But, it's nice to know that I won't have to fly across the country to "refresh" my points in the event I'm unable to make it out to Vegas for an extended period of time.

just today, the governor signed a bill to cut casino operators taxes from 67% to somewhere around 51%, AND to allow real table games and poker  . Also, to allow MGM to build that casino at National Harbor, just across the bridge from Alexandria, VA.

Voters will see it on the ballot in November.

Remember folks, these are VLT's. I live in Maryland with Ocean Downs Casino 5 minutes from my house. They don't get any tighter than here.
It will also be shuffle master constant shuffled decks, as required, so Maryland can continue to fleece it's players. It wont matter though cause it will still be packed.

Ocean Downs is crazy tight due to lack of competition. I mean the closest casino is in Harrington, DE. MD Live seemed loose when they opened, but things have tightened up considerably. It'll be interesting to see what happens if/when the tables get approved in November, not to mention, when MGM and Caesars finally get built. By then, I wouldn't be surprised if Ocean Downs closed up shop, just like Perryville is currently planning to do.
