While the building wasn't open yet when we did the tour in December, I just wanted to say that the tour is very good and well worth the time. If you are looking for a little side trip while in Vegas this is a great way to spend some time. (The tour lasts roughly about 1 hour)

A long time coming, and well-deserved.

I had booked a tour for my trip earlier in the month that I ended up having to cancel. I'll be sure to see this in our next trip!

How long a walk from the canopy? Do you have to pass a lot of unsavory looking people?

Our slot was 11 am and I can't say there were many people around full stop. Not sure on the actual distance, but it should be easy to Google it. I was with my SO, but don't think I would have been worried at all if I was alone. To be honest, I was alone half the walk over there because I was hopping about taking pics here and there and he rarely waits for me if he feels that it's an OK area. I wouldn't dream of walking it after dark though.
