There are no kiosks in Vegas.

We were there this weekend and went to every CET property (and spoke with folks at each of the TR desks). You need an ID to swipe.

    Sorry for the news...

    Great Race 2012

Iamrice - we were in LV last week too and there was a kiosk at the Rio on the left side of the counter at the TR desk. 4 of us ended up swiping 4 people's cards at different times while the staff was busy and not paying any attention.

On Aug 26 and 27 I looked there and all around the TR desk area (and even asked the boothling). It is now swipe with an ID only.

Thanks to everyone who offered to help. I appreciate it. I still need one more location though so send me what you can offer and hopefully I haven't "been" there yet lol.

Sybgal: Metro is all ID. Thanks for the help though!

I'm 2pts away on 2 cards so these last two locations are vital since it gives us $500 afterwards.

I am 4 pts away from the max on both my card and my wife's card. Sybgal has offered two points for HSI with my cards sent after our Tunica/Bossier trip in two weeks. SO, if that's good still, I just need to trade both our cards for a 2 or 3 pt location but NOT any of these: AC, Vegas/Laughlin, Tahoe/Reno, NOLA, Biloxi, Shreveport/Bossier, Tunica, Ak-Chin/Rincon, or Philly.

In exchange, if you get me a 2 pointer for both cards, I'll play two cards at Bossier (Horseshoe ...no ID)...or if you need three points, I'll play Tunica for you on both cards if you don't have Tunica...

Here's the clincher. You'd need to play my cards in the next week (i'll send today) so I can get them back (my wife's specifically) before Bossier/Tunica on 9/14.

    PM ME! :)

Has anybody been to Las Vegas in the past week that can confirm availability and location of kiosks?

I will be there at the end of the month, but my wife won't be and if I can't get her swiped in LV, she won't "max out".

    Vegas in July

The ONLY unmanned computer was on the TR counter at the Rio...NOT a kiosk. This was simply a flat screen computer w/ a card swiper. It actually wasn't on when we walked up & a lady noticed & flipped it on.
The latest word is "no kiosks" in Vegas--does that mean this one is gone, I don't know, but be prepared.
CET seems to have wised up on this one as the promo advances.:grrr:

I'm afraid they have and I think if they do run this again next year no one will be able to swipe others cards. I bet harrahs will have everyone of their properties checking I D.

Just don't ruin it for the people who actually go to the 7 different casino and play the games and earn the points instead of mail ordering them out to others to do the work.

They're bound to crack down on this when the FR softer has Mr. X swiping Mr. W's card.

To be fair, those who are doing trades, like me are playing in one place while someone else is playing in another place so the casino is indeed getting their same play except I save on gas and airfare.

I think cHET could potentially "win" more if they would be smart and just turn a blind eye...

That said, anyone have any non-ID casino not AC, Vegas, or in the deep south...still need one more! :)

They are wanting extra play though. In Vegas at least, I will have no issue getting a couple hundred points via slots. So if I were to play 8 cards, they aren't getting anything extra from me.

That said, I hope they continue with this next year. It is the sole reason I've been going to some casinos in the south. I simply can't justify $200 in gas to play for a few hours.

If Las Vegas are all now IDs, I will need one more location for my wife (who is not coming with me at the end of Sept).

Problem is, I am taking my last trip to Chicago this Saturday, so for reciprocation, a card needs to hit the mail from the midwest on Wednesday.

Send me a PM, I can let you know which cities I already have covered.

What do you mean they kill your comps when they deposit the points?

All I've had is good news from my trades...free rooms and FP (minimal but still...) from places I want to go, like AC. I'm willing to take the risk with cHET.

Well there was one at the Rio, but if people are going around asking about kiosks and questions like do I need ID, then I can imagine they took that one away for the rest of us.
