Is it possible to get from the Augustus Tower to the pool area without going through the casino? I understand that the Octavius Tower has elevators to the pool so was wondering if guests staying in the Augustus Tower can gain access that way.

Yes you can get to the pool area thru the Octavius tower.

Turn left off the elevators and walk down the main walkway on ground floor.
You can take a right follow the signage and access pool via the glass windowed walkway behind the old lago buffet, you come out to the pool doors by Rao.

There maybe a shorter access door, if head over to the private pool area south of Octavius tower, but not sure if regular hotel guests can access via that door. Its about a 3 minute walk from Augustus tower elevator bank to the doors by Rao. No tower is close to pool except Palace Tower.

Thanks, seems simple enough. I had read that the Octavius Tower has elevators to the pool level so I was thinking Augustus Tower to Octavius Tower to pool but that seems overly complicated and unnecessary!

If you are in Octavius you are very close to the pool and in fact may be overlooking it. Very short walk to the pool but a very long walk to the strip. Especially if you are drunk.

Ain't that the truth. Stayed in Octavius over labor day weekend. Rooms promo room, but faster to get to strip via Augustus entrance on flamingo. Played drunk chicken going across flamingo to bellagio north valet entrance.
