    I am now a reformed comp-a-holic.

I got sucked in after my last trip when I got offered free rooms any time at CET. I liked the idea and I wanted to maintain that. I am normally just a poker player, but I started playing BJ with my wife to spend some time together and earn comps.

This last trip, I won playing poker, and gave back most of that on BJ and slots. What did I earn for that over at least 20 hours of play? 246 Tier Credits. I could have booked the room myself without the comps and just played poker all week, which likely would have increased my take home winnings by quite a bit in the long run.

So from now on I will just play my poker and play a little BJ when I feel like it instead of feeling obligated to do so.

They say it here all the time, but sometimes it takes a while to sink in. DO NOT CHASE COMPS. Just play like you normally would.

You do not get much comps if you are playing poker unless you are in the Ivey Room or something high stakes. You will get many more points in slots since you are a CET member. Continue to play slots/BJ, you should get some comps depending on your play.

Especially nowadays, comps are less generous and rarely free. It's just the casino's way of saying thank you for your patronage, and allowing them a shot at your money. (Which, unfortunately, the odds tip in their favor.)

When I play I play as much as I want, where I want, and whenever I want.

I don't play for comps. When it comes, I take it. If it doesn't, no biggie for me.

I do get comps so I know they are available. I was just meaning that I no longer really care about paying attention to the comps and adjusting my play to get more. The free rooms are nice and it feels good to get them, but it feels even better cashing out poker winnings and keeping them rather than dumping them into slots to maintain a free $100 room.

I also play mostly poker, so i played some roulette, and video poker, and was able to rack up 1200 tier credits on my last trip ok maybe it was allot of roulette and VP. so taking my next trip in December i have almost any day comped expect a couple of weekends, still need to pick the exact days. so its nice to get a little something to keep us coming back, even though id be back even without a free room lol.
