8 days at Paris or...

Paris and Palazzo

I tried to delete this entire post but no luck. So I'll take advantage of Board knowledge and wisdom.

We have an eight night trip planned in November. We are going in conjunction with a conference to be held at Paris hotel. We are only able to get to Vegas every two years so we never garner any comps or great deals that would cause us to return to a particular property. I also have no problem with resort fees. In the past we have stayed at Harrah's, Planet Hollywood, Mirage, Monte Carlo and Paris.

Right now we are staying at Palazzo on the front end of our trip and Paris on the backend. Any hidden gems, special likes/dislikes regarding Palazzo? We are staying at Palazzo as part of an email deal that offers discounts at Valentino, The Grill at Valentino and Morels - any experience with these restaurants?

Any nuggets about Palazzo or that end of the strip is greatly appreciated.

 

Morels is wonderful. Went for lunch, sat on the patio. Be sure and do a cheese sampler for an appetizer. Also SIL said Bloody Mary was the best he ever had.l

 

First Food and Bar is about as "hidden" as you can get. In fact their slogan is "Hard to Find, Easy to Love". It's where the P's and V's shopping malls meet on the second floor (above Walgreen's).

The have an interesting menu, nice strip view, and friendly staff. Their prices have risen a lot over the years, but it's still OK for casual dining on the Strip.

Palazzo room service is also excellent.

 

If work is not paying for all meals, Restaurant.com has Fresh Food on their website.

 

Thanks for the Restaurants.com tip. I had checked them out a couple of weeks ago but that was before I settled on the Palazzo.

I'd love to hear from some more Palazzo fans. I walked through a few years ago but have never stayed.

 

I love the rooms. They are spacious and I love that there is a separate living room, with it's own TV. I think they are the best rooms on the strip. I don't love the casino though. I don't know what it is but I just don't care for it. I would still stay there though. The pool are is also awesome. The pool of Palazzo is connected with the Venetian so you can walk to the Venetian side if you like.
