Tropicana $200 reimbursement and slot play coupon

Can a new sign up use both of these deals? I've got an email into the players club, but no response yet.

I'm guessing the only way it could work is to do the $200 reimbursement on the first day of sign up. Win and walk, or lose it and get the $200 back in free play. Come back on the 3rd day to use the last installment of freeplay, then present them with the slot play coupon. At that point though, would I still be considered a new member and able to use the 50 for 25 deal? Or would it only be the 40 for 25 deal?

Anyone with experience using both of these deals in the last couple of months? I'm headed out there in late September. I know it's all dependent on who's working that day, but I'd like to get some feedback from people that have tried. I'd hate to buy the coupon, then get shut down at the players club and be out $25.

I did this in July..we used slot play coupon at signup to get the 50 loaded on the account

But we did not play the slotplay til after we had them process the rebate.

So on 1st day got $150 ($100 rebate plue $50 slotplay, 2nd day $50, 3rd day $50)

So if I sign up and present the slot play coupon, the credit is available as free play, and only comes into play if I access it? Just but in money and save the free play.. Sounds like a plan.
One question- do all or most machines qualify for the rebate? I know the Riv had stickers on theirs when they had their promo going..

I'm going to go a step further. Can somebody walk me through this detail by detail? I've never done anything like this and will be leaving to go out there tomorrow, and on that end of the strip tomorrow night and the next afternoon.

 

I'm not going out until next month, but here's my plan as it stands:

1. Purchase the coupons linked above for the Tropicana, 1 coupon per person, have to enter their name when you buy it (I bought mine last night). Print off each coupon.

2. Go to the Trop, sign up for a new players card. Ask about the $200 rebate deal to be certain that it is still running. Find out any details regarding which, if any, machines are not allowed to be played as part of the deal.

3. Give them the coupon and have the $50 added to your account. This play is only used when you access it from the screen by entering your pin number.

4. Go gamble with pocket money, not the coupon money loaded onto your card.

5. Scenario 1 - If you win (say $100 more than you started with), accept that you won't be using the rebate promo. You've won, you don't need to. Take your winnings out of the machine. Then use the $50 that was loaded onto your card. Play it all through one time, then cash out. Take the money that you have and walk.

Scenario 2 - You lose $200. Go back to the slot booth and let them know that you need the rebate applied to your account. They'll confirm that you lost $200, then load $100 onto your card that day ($50 will be loaded the next day, the final $50 is loaded on the 3rd day). Go to a machine, use the $100 from the rebate, and the $50 from the coupon. Play it all through once, cash out, leave. Come back the next day, use the $50 rebate, play it through once. Cash out, leave. Repeat for day 3.

Make sure you understand how the rebate works. The deal can only be used if your NET loss for the day is $200 (well, it's set up in tiers lower than 200, but 200 is the max.) If you've lost $199, and on the last spin for $1, you win $300, then you are now NET positive $100 for the day.


Ideally, you'll win on your first spin and not even need to worry about the promo. Search for the Cosmopolitan $100 rebate thread for information on how to try and make the most out of these types of deals.

 

I am going for my 1st trip to Vegas in September so will be a new member any casino I walk into. You mention this Tropicana and Cosmopolitan giving rebate deals. Are there others anyone knows of - closer to Treasure Island ?

 

Treasure Island will give you some free play for signing up, I think Venetian (across the street from Ti) will too...

But for these large rebate offers the only three places currently doing them are Hooters, Tropicana and Cosmopolitan... all of which are down The Strip from Ti.

But if you exit out front of Ti and go to Mirage and down the sidewalk you will find a bus stop where you can catch The Deuce (a big gold double decker bus) that you can take for $3. Its designed for tourists so when it gets close to a stop it will announce what hotels are near. If you want to walk it you would just continue down the sidewalk past Mirage, Caesars Palace, Bellagio and then you come to Cosmopolitan... Tropicana is a little further down from there (past Aria/City Center, Monte Carlo and NYNY, then across the street).

 

I did a deal at Westin off the strip not far from Ballys. We won so we didn't end up using it. It was only $50 but all could be redeemed immediately.

 

Correct, once you lose $200 the first day and activate the reimbursement, they won't penalize you for any winnings afterwards. Say you lose the $200 the first day, get the $100 applied to your card, and win $400 with it. They still give you the $50 free play the next day, and 50 more the 3rd day.

When I say run it through, I mean that you must play the freeplay through the machine at least 1 time. You can't just cash it out. Say on the first day you have the $100 rebate applied to your account. You could go to a machine with max bet of $1 per spin. Spin exactly 100 times. Whatever money is left at that point, you can cash out and take with you.

 

Thanks B Rox perfectly explained for the rookie and makes good sense for the casino. So negatively speaking I lose $300 day 1 but only $200 was my money. Day 2 I can lose the reinbursed $50 so I am still only down $200 and same on day 3 so everybody's happy so to speak - casino takes my $200 and I get to gamble $400 and only walk away with a $200 loss.

Is a "day" 6 am to 6 am for the Trop?

When you come back the 2nd and 3rd for the additional rebate do you have to go back to the players club to have it loaded - or do they load it all at once and then it just becomes activated the next 2 days?

I'm guessing that once you have them add the original $100 reimbursement, then next $50 goes on in 24 hours time, then 24 hours more for the last.

Seems like most casinos have their day run from 3am to 2:59am, or 4am to 3:59 am.

At Trop, you can play any machine except those specifically restricted. I personally played DDB VP, and didn't see any restrictions on any machines I looked at. I looked at a lot of different VP looking for the paytable I wanted. Didn't check video BJ.

The slot promotion at Hooters is damn near worthless. It's only on special slots set up for the promo, and they don't pay.

 

Mike, this is a new promotion going on at Hooters. It's similar to the reimbursement promo at Cosmo or Trop.

Hooters may still have the promo slot setup (agreed, that was a waste), but this reimbursement promo they've added is actually worth the time.
