Hello ~ Newbie here! My hubby sent me a link to this really cool Vegas message board that he came across, and I've been buried in it ever since. We've been going to Vegas for probably 20 years and just can't get enough!

Like a lot of people, we started off the first couple of years on the slot machines. Then we found that video poker let us play longer and run a lot more money through the machines, so we made the switch, learning better strategies along the way. We never played any table games until this year when we started playing Pai Gow Poker. LOVE the game and it'll be fun adding it to our Vegas experience.

This board is the best! We've been scouring it for lots of info for our upcoming trip ~ trying to find out which casinos have good VP and Pai Gow Poker tables. This board is definitely helpful and it's nice that we can just ask if we have some questions!

Hi there neighbors, welcome aboard! I've been here in Estero past 20 years..and I've never even bothered to try the Seminole casino for the reason you mentioned..I'm flying out Sept 2 -11th,staying at the Rio/Gold Coast..Curious on how you made out on airfare out of RSW,I had to buy two different one-way flights and still came out to roughly $400.It is the highest I have ever paid and I've been going every year same week the past 11 years.. Have a great trip guys and stay dry down here!!:wink

Hi, jamesxnj! We booked on Delta this trip ~ airfare was about $340 leaving from RSW with a connection in Atlanta. We normally fly out of Tampa or Ft. Lauderdale, but we used miles for one of our tickets so it wasn't too bad. We're not really fond of driving 2 hours to catch a flight, but it usually saves us $200+.

We rarely went to Immokalee because of the lousy VP pay schedules. But we started playing Pai Gow Poker and we find we can log a lot of hours with a lot less money.

    Good luck this trip!

First two days, we are driving up to Bryce Canyon, spending some time with nature and a few hikes.

Then we are off to Flamingo for a couple of nights, then 1 night downtown at Main Street Station, then 2 nights a The M Resort....

Ft. Lauderdale... I'll be flying into there in December(using travel funds from southwest), we are planning a little getaway to Key West :)

Sounds great! Bryce Canyon is on our TO-DO list eventually ~ I hear it's beautiful!

We really like MSS ~ it's just kind of "homey" and we love the scratch-offs for 4ofaKinds. :) We were going to book a couple of nights at M Resort, but they were "unavailable" for our comp offer. Maybe next time!

Good luck in Vegas and enjoy Florida and Key West if you make it!

We've never been to Bryce either and we cant wait. I'm a very amatuer Photographer so I see lots of fun for that part of the trip! Hubby and I also just seem to love the mountains, red rocks and just get a whole different feel when we are around any of them, from Sedona, Red Rocks, Valley of Fire, Maybe its just that part of the world.

This will be our first time staying at MSS, I've heard enough good things from Joe on here that I'm pretty excited about it!

We've only ever made a quick stop at M Resort, so we are paying for the room, but we just adore the whole vibe there, so we dont mind this one time!

same good luck to you in Vegas too!
I've never been to Key West and looked like it might be a good change from our last couple of trips that seem to revolve around out west...

Welcome aboard gms5997! Your story sounds very similar to mine. Started out playing slots, then video poker. Since then I have added a few table games and some roulette once and awhile. Love Vegas! All the choices, all the fun. Good luck on your trip.
