    Hi guys,

This is my first post here, I have had a search through the forums but haven't been able to find anything to help but apologise if it has already been covered!

I'm coming over from the uk in September to get married and have a hen party on monday 17th. We are all dressing up in neon clothing, from tutu's to leg warmers and braces and neon face paint - very 80's and wondering if most clubs/ bars will let us in in this clothing? A lot of them state smart clothing with no trainers etc but wondered if we'd be ok in this kind of clothes? Any suggestions welcome :)

The ages range from 24 to 64 and also very conscious about pleasing everyone - can anyone suggest any quieter bars or restaurants we could go to where we could wear these outfits?

The majority of us will be staying in Paris or ballys on the strip but happy to go anywhere on/near the strip.

Any information at all would be appreciated!

    Many thanks

    Michelle

If I had to guess I would say that most clubs probably would not let you in with that type of clothing. I may be wrong, however, so I would call any club you plan on going to ahead of time to ask about their dress code.

You wouldn't have any problem with any bar, though. I've seen some pretty outlandish clothing out there.

A while back on a Friday night there was a bachelorette party group at the Cabaret Lounge at Paris and they seemed to be having a very good time. They were dressed more or less normally, however.

They've put up some padded partitioning around the Cabaret which gives the place a more secluded feel than a casino bar, but I suspect it was mainly to keep the noise of the band in. It used to get very loud in the casino area just outside.

Harrahs carnival court may be a place you can go like that.

None of the tier 1 or 2 clubs will let you in dressed like that and some of the tier 3's may turn you away. Your best bets are the casino lounges or places like Carnival Court with more laid back dress codes. There are a couple places in Excalibur and NY/NY where you might be ok. Just curious but what do you mean by face paint? I've seen and been to 80's parties where the dress is 80's but have never seen or remember people painting their faces in the 80's (in the US at least).

Neon and leg warmers , sounds very , very 80s which is a pity because if you had arrived on the 14th , the Stratosphere would have welcomed you with open arms , 80s bands , Karaoke , and staff all dressed up, the whole weekend.

But Im afraid Vegas aint your typical night out down the High Street in the UK, you will be very lucky to get in to any club dressed the way you will be I know it is harmless fun ( did plenty of DJing for hen nights ) but the door staff have had a sense of humour bypass, if they did let you in you would probably have to buy a table and bottle service which could cost you thousands.

Having said all that I second carnival court.

Have a great time .and tell me where you are going to be so I can come and cheer you on.

    Dont forget the Facepaint.

    My recommendations are:

    Carnival Court
    Nine Fine Irishmen
    Coyote Ugly
    Gilley's
    Lynyrd Skynyrd's
    Bar at Times Square

And if you head to Fremont Gold Diggers or any of the Fremont East bars

For what it is worth ... here is from another forum (sub-forum "When Good Pictures Go Bad") and the thread title is "Another Bachelorette party gone wrong"
... on a positive note, these girls actually made it in the club, on the flip side, it sounds like most everyone agrees they look like jackasses.

.... with that said, if you guys want to go for it, don't let the nay-sayers stop you, unless that nay-sayer is working the line at a club, then you might be stopped.

Also, just an FYI - Carnival Court is by no means a "night club"... it is an outdoor tent with a bar a live music - still a great time and might work given the range of ages you provided.... but if you're expecting a lavish club with a dj, crazy sounds/lights, dancing, and lots of good looking younger people... carnival court will be disappointing. If you expect a laid back bar to sit and have a few with some music and a small amount of dancing (if any) then you'll be satisfied.

Since it's a monday that you want to go, I'd call around to all the second tier clubs. You'd definitely get a 'no' on a Friday or Saturday, but places that won't be busy are likely to maybe let it slide, especially for women.
