I was wondering about the CET diamond expiration from when you receive it. I know I read somewhere on here, and yes I did a search first and could find the thread, if you get the 11000 teir credits on Dec 31 2012, when does the card expire. I would think think March 2014, but I think I read somewhere on here that someone said you get the following two years since you mad it on the last day of the year. Does any one have a clue about this??

    Thanks

If you earned Diamond in the traditional way, that is earning the 11,000 tier points in a calendar year, your diamond status will run the entire next year, and until March of the Following year. So, for instance if you earn Diamond this month, you will remain a diamond the remainder of 2012, all of 2013, and through the end of March 2014. To renew your diamond status you will have to earn another 11,000 tier points in Calendar 2013 OR from January to March 31, 2014.

It has no bearing on when you earn the 11,000 points - you can earn them on January 1st or December 31st, either way your diamond status will expire on March 31st of the 2nd year following. They go on a calendar year basis for the earning of points. Each year on January 1st your TIER POINTS (not TR, Total Reward or Bonus Points which expire if no use on your card for 6 months) are reset to 0.

If you earn DIAD (Diamond In A Day), I have heard conflicting information on how long that will run (if it is only for the calendar year, or also includes the first 3 months of the next year). Also, I am pretty sure that if you earn DIAD, you cannot renew your diamond status by doing DIAD again, you must earn the traditional 11,000 tier points in order to renew your diamond status.

That's it. The only time I recall earning the status in December making any difference is with DIAD. Earning in December extends status by a year, so DIAD earned 30 November 2012 gets Diamond status to 31 March 2013, DIAD earned 1 December 2012 gets Diamond status to 31 March 2014.

It's possible that a similar rule applies to earning Diamond through the regular route. I would contact Total Rewards through the website to be certain. I have found them very efficient is handling enquiries.

Is Diamond still 11,000? I thought I read somewhere that it was 12,000. I'm gonna check the TR site and see what it says. I heard there are different levels of Diamond to Caesars but I usually help hubby get Platinum after I get 12,000...If I really only need 11,000 - that makes it easier. :)

    Hi, sybgal!

I think they tried to do different levels of Diamond--with 30,000 TR being one level and 60,000 being another level--Diamond Select and something else; but that was like two years ago.

In my case, it was more at my local casino than in Vegas.

Now, I think many of the properties have what they call General Manager's Club, where I think if you earn 15,000 TCs a quarter, you get acknowledged.

I know that they send out regular monthly promos, but nothing two special. Maybe a free camera here and there. That's all.

    I hope I made sense. :) Cheers.

:peace:As long as you have 11,00 points on Dec 31st 2012 you will be Diamond through March 31st of 2014--Diamond in a day is just completely different

GM club is now Insider status. With the changes rolled out earlier this year, it seems to be a national program. At my local, it seems like events that were for VIP Diamonds are now only for Insiders. They get some pretty nice giveaways and at least one special party a month. They also have opportunities to earn some big gifts but they have to play a ton to get them. It's a quarterly thing and you basically have to play at a pace to make Diamond in quarter to get it.

Insider status has indeed replaced GM Club...it is 10,000 TC's per quarter to maintain. You get invited to one event per month, they're usually slot tournaments, dinners, cocktail receptions, wine tastings...stuff like that.

Earn 3000 tier credits at one casino on 1 day (6am to 6am). Let me know if you want any more information.
