For those that do Vegas hard, have you ever been cut off at bars or at tables?

I was playing VP at MGM once and was ordering drink after drink. Well, the bartender finally stops me and says he can only serve six drinks per hour. I wasn't acting drunk (I don't think), and I wasn't aware of such a policy. I simply cashed out and moved on to another bar.

Another time around 5am playing blackjack I must have been getting rowdy because I was brought a water. I then somehow convinced the pit boss I wasn't that drunk and talked my way into getting served again.

So suck up your pride and let's hear those stories!

My husband was cut off at bar at Bally's. The jerk off guy said he walked funny to the bathroom. I know there was a lot of people worse off than him. We gave him a penny tip and left.

    Cut Off

:rolleyes2: I do remember one time at the Rio many years ago when I kept falling asleep at a machine.
But LOL-it wasn't just drinking (of course part of it was-LOL) as we had arrtived about 8pm and I had been up since about 6am eastern time.
And the machines just seemed to hypomotize me and my eyes kept[STRIKE][STRIKE][/STRIKE][/STRIKE] closing and finally a security guard came over and suggested that I might want to go to bed--actually a good thing

Not in Vegas, but I do know of one particular evening where my friend and I were not only cut off but told to leave the bar . . . . and THEN s**t got real ugly. I'm lucky we weren't killed or arrested that night. We should have been.

I have never been cut off but there has been a couple of times where I tried drinking the NYNY high limit room out of scotch. I could feel the stumbles approaching so I asked for some water & coffee - helped get me back on the right track, then I ordered another scotch.:evillaugh

I remember waiting for a flight out of Las Vagas on a night owl at 11:59pm. The stewardess asked me to wait for the next flight out which was at 6am. She said I appeared to have been drinking too much and may upset some of the passengers seated next to me. No problem with the re-ticketing since it was their idea, and I wasn't ready to go anyway. No doubt, I wasn't the neatest in appearance. I was up from 3am, making sure I got a full day on the last of my stay. I got a cab back to the strip and went to the Maxum. The front desk put my carry-on luggage in a holding room and I stayed in the casino until 5am gambling and drinking. I then went back to the airport and never had a problem getting on the second flight. I seemed to blend right in with at least half of the people boarding the plane.

I was on one of my golf trips. There were five of our group at a blackjack table, and some other guy. We were being way too rowdy. The floor man came over and said, "This table is cut off." The other guy said, "Hey! I'm not with these guys." The floor man said, "Sorry, you're just collateral damage."

Never have in Vegas or at home. I can get drunk, but I don't become an ass or stumble all over the place so it's not a problem for me.

First trip. Staying at Excal. At the end of the night was a little too focused on rambling from bar to bar and flirting with the bartenders. Also, remember having the temptation to flirt with a few ladies I saw playing the slots, but at least I had the sense to not interfere with anyone's gambling.

Security guard politely suggested it was time to head to my room. I complied, but couldn't get to sleep, so I headed back down after half an hour and stuck a hundred in a slot machine. The guard came by again, shook his head, laughed, and said "I see you're back".

Kinda. Playing BJ at San Remo many years ago, pit tells the waitress "This is his last one". I laughed it off as a joke, and it must have been, 'cause they kept on coming...

I had to cut the bartender of one time...

A few years back, we were on are last night of the trip and my sister and I were at the Jester Bar at the Excalibur playing vp. I was winning, the drinks were flowing, and I was tipping the bartender accordingly. We got a shot of Patron and then my parents came up. They didn't play, but the bartender still served them up drinks and set us up another Patron shot. Our parents wander off and I keep playing. Shortly after he is filling them up again and we are not even asking for another. Every twenty minutes or so he is coming by with more shots.

Keep in mind that this was evening and we had literally been drinking all day - first thing of a morning when I hit the casino floor I am on a mission to the nearest bar for some vp and a bloody mary, and I don't stop till bed. He kept setting up shots so often that at one point I had to tell him it was our last one and we would just have beer the rest of the time. It is literally the only time I have stopped a bartender from pouring me another drink.:drunk:

I had to stop him or we were going to need assistance back to the MGM that night. Definitely the best drink service I have ever had in Vegas!

No - although I perhaps should have been at several clubs. The closest was when arriving at the HRH after 30-odd hours flying from Australia I fell asleep at the bar of the Pink Taco whilst drinking scotch and waiting for my prawn tacos. I was woken up by the bar manager, but allowed to stay on and eat my meal.

I have been cut off at several casinos in Vegas, even escorted out at one. I won't go into the long details but looking back I would have to say I deserved it with the exception of the time I got kicked out of a club at Treasure Island on my birthday. I had a private table with bottle service and was escorted out before our bottle was even half finished. That was 6 years ago and it still makes me mad. :grrr: I was told I was stumbling on the dance floor. Once the bouncers escorted me out and my girlfriend found me we had a long conversation with the bouncers who invited us to come back any other night and they would set us up with another table, no charge. In the end we found out that the girl at the table next to us had us kicked out because she thought her boyfriend was flirting with me. Needless to say money talks, she got her way as her boyfriend was spending thousands of dollars buying bottle after bottle of Cristal and Dom. :rolleyes2:

I've been denied to play at a craps table at NYNY because I had been drinking and I was a little tipsy walking there. It honestly wasn't bad at all and I was nowhere near close to throwing up or anything. One of the dealers immediately said "you can't play at this table" and gave me the stink eye. So what did I do? I walked a few steps to the craps table next to it and played there.

That seems kind of harsh. Not sure if its the same in Vegas but in many places both the server and the establishment are legally liable if they overserve someone, not to mention facing licensing issues if they overserve.

Its not like they cut people off to be mean. If you're cut off when you shouldn't be, its a bummer, but the bartender is just covering his *ss.

I probably should have been cut off a couple of times. But no, never have been. I didn't think it was possible to be honest.

I think it was my last trip......
I posted about it in my Trip Report.
    .
My buddy bartender went on his break --
I was playing VP at the bar for 4 hrs.
I was standing up to give my @ss a break -
    I order a beer from the "stand-in" bartender -
The guy comes back with a HUGE ice water.
I just looked at him.....and went into the pub near by
    and got a beer.
    What an @ss !:rolleyes2:

Never in LV..but once on the plane to LV my buddy and I got cut off after just a few rounds. We weren't that drunk at all, but they said we were done.

The previous trip we had a bunch of rounds of beers and shots and we were toasted. Near the end of the flight the flight attendant came by with two little bottles of Jack Daniels and gave them to us. She said they were the last ones and we might as well have them since we seemed to like them.

So we were really surprised at the attitude on the next trip.
