I am taking a trip to Las Vegas for the first time ever at the end of this month. Needless to say, I joined here to get some idea of what to expect.

    :peace:

Welcome Reyguy. I didn't know what to expect either on my first Vegas trip over 27 years ago! Of course, that was pre-Internet, so I'm sure you already know a lot more now than I did then. It looks like we'll be there around the same time. Have a great trip!

Now how on earth is the new Redguy supposed to know who Vern is? Okay – for those who haven't already had the privilege of meeting Vern, he's the infamous craps shooting turtle that always comes with us.

    Hello Fellow Ohioan.

Vegas is a lot more fun than anywhere in Ohio.

I enjoy the new Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland. There have been days I've left $200-$300 ahead, but mostly just fun breaking even. I'm hopeful that the machines in Vegas aren't quite as tight.

Another Ohioan here....welcome. How's the new casino? Is it worth the trip up from Columbus? I may need to make a trip up and play a few hands of blackjack to keep my TR points from expiring.

No. It's tight. Very tight. When it first opened, I would come out $200-300 ahead but ever since then it's like setting your money on fire.
