Anyone know what the plans are for OCT. as far as staying there? Will the Hotel be operative? In other words, if you are there late OCT. will the construction get even worse, of will it be about the same? I mentioned before that i have a TR Card but no points because it's been 2 years. But i can get IP for about $19 per night (which is even cheaper than before). Bally's will be about $45 per night. I love Bally's and have stayed there many times, but for this trip i want a cheap hotel using my TR card so that when i go back in April i will get back my lower deals/comps for Bally's. I just plan on sleeping/showering there and eating/gambling everywhere else. But will the rooms be available for late Oct.?

The IP will be open. I don't think there were ever any plans for it to close for guests.

I think it safe to say that there will be construction but insofar as you only plan on sleeping there then just ask for a room away from that and you should be fine.

If you are looking for a great price, you'll probably never see a lower price than IP has right now. Go to smartervegas.com and use the discount codes on the left column to get an even lower price.

I just booked for Halloween weekend, only CET prop my low rolling could score a COMP on. I look at it as a place to sleep, the contstruction cannot be that bad if its staying open.

OK thanks. This time i just want a clean, cheap place to stay. When i go back in April with my GF, i will be at Bally's, this trip will be primarily for putting points on my card. But if IP will be open in late Oct. even with the construction, i think i'll go for it.

How much will it cost to get those points?

One can spend/blow hundreds or thousands of dollars to get $100-$200 in free rooms.

Stay at IP and gamble at Bally's! More offers will come from Bally's.

$19 vs $45? What is that, one hand of blackjack? I would stay where I was going to play, and where I was happy for that small of a difference.

Wow, didn't realize this would be so controversial...LOL. The difference is about $80 for IP and about $170 for Bally's for 4 nights. I play in numerous casinos, mid strip, south strip, north up to the Venetian. I don't play for comps, gamble only in the evening, daytime i catch the sights and sound of Vegas. It's been 2 years since i've been there. Vegas has always been to me the experience of just being there. I don't bet in the sportsbooks but love then for watching the games no matter what time of year. I love watching the Ducks in front of the Mirage, i don't drink, i love the art galleries and the gardens at Bellagio, Red Rock Canyon and the Forum Shops at CP. I'm intrigued by Linq, i miss O'Shea's because it was there when i last left.
But i gamble enough to maintain my TR card to usually get comps at Bally's. I have no problem paying $170 for Bally's, but i thought that since i'm going solo on this trip, a clean, decent place to sleep while saving $100 a night would be sufficient.

I agree. If you aren't particular and fussy, why not save the cash to use on something else? IP prices are outrageous right now. The only reason I skipped them for my next strip stay is because I'll have a rental and have heard the parking is awful right now, so I chose Bills. If that isn't an issue for you, bring some ear plugs and enjoy the savings. Don't forget my tip for smartervegas.com. You can still sign into Total Rewards and use this discount.

Yes, i did. Sun. thru Wed. (4 nights) $24.99, $19.99, $19.99, $17.99. I won't be driving but taking a plane. I live in LA and usually drive, but since this trip is solo, i'll fly, so no parking problems for me. And like i said, Bally's will be my home when i go back in the Spring. This is just a temp this trip at IP, and leaving the IP after i wake up and going to the coffee shop at Bally's each day. My only time in IP will be to sleep and changing clothes for dinner.

It is your trip and your money and your time. Stay where you want to stay. If you don't have a problem with the construction, then save yourself some money and stay at the IP. Simple as that.

Thanks guys. I usually drive but have to take the plane (don't HAVE to but 5 hours driving alone gets lonely) so i have to make up the difference. My main concern was Oct. at IP and whether they will still be open. Construction won't be a problem on this trip.......i'll be away from IP most of the time. Just as well, if i over sleep, the jack hammers will wake me up.....LOL

If they are not going to be open, then they will not take your reservation.
