Masculine Rooms?

This is purely subjective but I think the modern trend in Vegas favors a more masculine look and style. The exception in just a few (eg, Wynn, Signature, Mansion among others). I think rooms like Flamingo Go room (and Tropicana rooms) is also a more feminine look (though it mixes masculine). But then again, people would question masculine and feminine as a "look"; people might even say it is often a blend of masculine and neutral colors; and then some would question the definitions of masculine and feminine, which is purely subjective again. But I find that I do not desire certain rooms because they have a harder feel, brownish, blue, gray feel and not a softer, pastel, white, light pink, goldish look. This is just me talking. Throw in any ideas!!

We stayed at the Trop in 2010 when the renovations were still going on, great room. Ours had floor to ceiling windows. My favorite one I have stayed in to this day are the Miami South Beach/Cuban vibed Cabana Suites at the El Cortez. Loved that place.

 

I don't know about masculine... I would say they are more traditional, classy and modern in style and that they are done up in a safe color scheme of earth tones.

To use other color schemes I can see a few problems like a room done up in colors is more likely to polarize somebody as to whether they like it or hate... but a room done up in browns and greys, whites and blacks could be tolerable for even the pickier customers.

 

Hard Rock went totally "masculine" in the Paradise Tower... very dark.

 

I felt the suites we stayed in at Aria had a refreshingly masculine feel to them compared to Wynn's - I kind've felt the whole property at Aria had a decidedly masculine feel to it, which I guess I enjoyed being a man LOL. I always felt Wynn was nice, but perhaps a little too feminine for my taste in many regards. Hands down, the "Carta Privada" room in Aria's casino is the single most masculine feeling room I have ever played in - as I always like to say, it feels like you're playing in a James Bond villain's lair.

Interestingly, when the wife & I were given a tour of two of Palazzo's penthouse suites by our host on our last visit, the two suites he showed us were night and day in decor - one was very contemporary & masculine in feel [lot's of wood panelling, leather furniture, dark hardwood floors & marbles, etc], while the other was very traditional and feminine [crystal chandeliers, white couches & carpets, ornate Louis XIV furniture, etc.]. Of course, I prefered the first suite, the wife preferred the latter LOL

 

I don't know about masculine but wanted to say thanks for putting the various room pictures in one post.

 

Hotel rooms

I have always known that the masculine colors of browns, beige sp, dark colors are the masculine colors for bedrooms. Since the majority of gamblers are men the hotels want to please them first.
I think recently the hotels have started adding those lounges that women love to sit on and rest. It puts a smile on my face when I see one.
I also get happy when I see a mirror and a vanity/desk type table.

The colors of blues in not considered a sexy color for bedrooms. That is what I read about the color blue. The color red is a sexy color for bedrooms.

The color white and pastels are considered more for females.

The color of grays and silver are the new trendy colors presently.
