OK bored and figured I need to start a new topic

So I thought this would be a fun topic, what are your top 5 VP bars in Vegas? Does not need to be top 5 even, could be favorite or top 3, etc. Mine are:

    1. Sullys Bar (Ballys)
    2. Sky Box Bar (Aria)
    3. Golden Gate
    4. Bacarrat Bar (Bellagio)
    5. Queue Bar (Cosmo)

They are 8/5 at quarters. 9/6 DDB at 50 cents and up still. All I know is we usually win on them!

    Here's my short list:
    1. Boar's Head (MSS)
    2. Both VP bars (Four Queens)
    3. Book & Stage, Bond (Cosmopolitan)
Based on some input on another thread, I'm going to give Sully's and Bugsy's a shot on our next trip out.

What is this based on? Pay tables? How much luck you've had? Free drinks?

    1. Sully's Bar
    2. Cosmo Book and Stage
    3. Caesars Sports Book
    4. Gustav's at Paris
    5. Stage Door

Our list is based on fun factor. You need good bartenders, good drinks, and fun times to make those lousy payables worth playing. Spent way too much this week at Sully's having a great time. :drunk:

I rather enjoy the stench of cigarette smoke, alcohol, and hooker perfume!

So I play VP at the Casino Royale bar!

I based mine on where I like to play, everyone has different reasons for their picks. I think basically, if I asked you where you wanted to play out of all the places in Vegas I think you would have a few favs, no?

Since I am pretty new to VP I've only played at maybe 7-8 places so I only have 2 favorites. I would also love to hear why y'all experienced players like the places you like.

MSS - at Joe's machine at the bar.
Why I liked it- the bartenders are awesome, the decor is rich, historic and elaborate, the bar is comfortable - good height & comfortable bar stools. It was clean. I don't remember if I won or lost but I played for quite a while & given that I am an inexperienced player I must have won enough to play for that long.

Cosmo - At the bar by the Book & Stage.
Cosmo is big shininess so I love the atmosphere in general, the bartenders were very attentive. It was clean & comfortable. I did not do well there losing hand after losing hand, but I'll go back & see if my luck will change.

I have to pay more attention to pay table next time.

I only have 2 and the first one I'm not sure where it was.

    1. Bellagio, not sure which one it was because it was many years ago when I first went to Vegas for work. I sat down at a bar and started playing. Guy next to me gets a royal and says that I brought him luck. I was a little embarrassed but it was fun. He tipped me $100. He ordered himself a single malt scotch and tipped about $8. After he left the bartenders were bitching that they got no real tip but the guy next to him ( me ) got $100 for doing nothing. Wait a second, I brought luck! Anyway I tipped the bartenders a $20 and they were thankful.

    2. The Aria bar by the elevators. They comped me when I put $20 in and played single coin. This happened a few times and I have posted about it a few times. I was very pleased.

I'm not a huge bartop player but still have trouble limiting it to 5! In no particular order -

Cosmo - Bond, Queue, Book & Stage. All great
    Flamingo - Garden Bar
    Palazzo - Laguna
    Monte Carlo - Ignite
    MSS - Boar's Head

You played on my machine? Damn, they told me they reserved it when I was gone:wink2:
    OK, so obviously Boar's Bar

Upstairs at Four Queens in the Chicago Brewing Co. If there aren't too many cigar smokers.

And even though the paytables aren't great...Gustav's Bar at Paris. I just like the entire vibe at Paris.

Gone, but not forgotten, the Garden Bar at Stardust next to the swimming pool.

    In no particular order

Breeze Bar at Treasure Island, although less so lately
    Skybox Bar/Bar Moderno at Aria
    High Limit Bar at NYNY
International Beer Bar at Golden Nugget
    Bugsy's Bar at Flamingo

    Honorable mention
    Frankie's Tiki Room
    Dino's
Sports Book Bar at Red Rock

    Cosmo – Bond and Queue
    Aria – Bar Moderno
    T.I. - Breeze
    Encore – Eastside Lounge
    Wynn – B Bar

If they comp’d drinks, Eastside Lounge would be my favorite by a wide margin. Since they don’t, I’d say I like Queue the best – at least lately.

One of the main reasons I'm such a fan of the Hard Rock is bartop VP. The "famous" Center Bar just upgraded all the bartop machines to the same high-quality machines that their Luxe Bar has had. Sadly, the paytables aren't quite where I'd like to see them, but the drink service is OUTSTANDING at both bars... never had a glass go empty and for me that's a big part of the bar/VP "experience".

Actually Joe I probably wouldn't have ever visited MSS or tried VP were it not for your posts.

I doubt I will ever be the master VP player you & the other guys are but I really do enjoy it, so thanks!

Are there any Bars with 9/6 JOB or FP machines downtown or in the LV Valley? Would like to try them. I have only played machines on the floor and currently limit my play to 9/6 JOB or FP DB or FP DW.

I miss the 9/6 JOB at the Gold Coast. :(
