If i would stay at like a 40$ a night hotel and say play at the bellagio with a 120 to 150$ average.
Would it free up more of my comps for expensive meals and other comps?

Yes - your level/amount of comps will still equal roughly 30-40% of your theo, but that amount of money will go further at a place where rooms [and usually everything else] are cheaper as well. Or, at chains like MGM or CET, what you could do is stay at a cheaper property but eat at better restaurants at other MGM properties - since the cost of the room will be eating up less of your earned comps, you'll have more left over to spend on meals & such that way.

You will generally get more host attention for the same level of play the lower down the "food chain" of resorts you go - a host at Luxor or Flamingo will likely give you much more attention than you would get from a host at a place like Aria or Caesars Palace for the same play, for example.

you can definitely do that, but it helps if you have an established relationship with a host first because your host will have to sign off on all comps for you since you don't have a room to charge anything to.

Unless someone wants to contradict me, I think the limo is a freebie and has no impact on other comps.

Yeah, I think pretty much - they practically give limo rides out like water.

The only times I've ever had complimentary booze in a casino limo is when I'm taking a limo to & from my home in Southeastern PA to Atlantic City - but that's also a 2+ hour drive. In Vegas, the only time I've ever had booze in the limo was going from Aria to Palazzo - but that was part of a sales pitch, and the host was in the limo and brought the champagne with him.

I guess if you really wanted to have a bottle of champagne or something else waiting for you in the limo, you could call ahead & inquire - but I think if you did, they would probably charge it to your room similar to room service.

Remember that limo, except for gas, has no real cost in moving the individual about. The cost is fixed to the casino. The insurance, the vehicle itself and the drivers salary, will be an expense to the casino if it sits in their parking lot the entire month and is never used. So they would rather transport you to and from their property and keep you happy. A happy customer is a satisfied customer, perhaps not quite as happy on the return trip back to the airport.
