I have 2 nights booked at the Monte Carlo for 201 bucks on the weekend(before any fees/taxes). Is that a good deal or a ripoff? I've never really watched the property before, so I don't know if I'm getting screwed. I'm more of a Wynn/Aria/MB girl, so if I'll be miserable, warn me!:nworthy:

Monte Carlo is at least a tier below all of those.

Miserable might be a bit strong, but I wouldn't expect Wynn/Aria service at Monte Carlo.

MC is okay. Not Wynn as mentioned. But then again, a Chevette gets you there just as well as a Caddy. Different strokes.

As to price - pretty much impossible to say if this is a good deal. If you look the the online rate calendar, you will see prices all over the place. Weekends are usually higher, but some more than others. Assume you are doing Fri/Sat but that was not stated.

Guessing you do not have any casino player offers?

Its Vegas! How can any place there be miserable?!

The biggest downgrade will be the overall quality of the room. I think the price isn't bad if you are talking Friday and Saturday night.

I've only got one offer thus far (no real fall offers to speak of) and it was for 400 bucks for Aria with a 50 F&B. I'm not picky enough to spend double....I'd rather feed that to machines. ;) Switching to a CET property on the following Monday, so was trying to get a lil' MGM in time too.

I always think about how much time you spend in room.
    Very little.
    So price is OK

It's a HUGE downgrade from those you mentioned. I know it's a 4 star, but I'd say 3.5.. I mean it's fine though... the rooms are decent, it's a good location. But everything is kinda old and dingy.

$100 a night? that's a good deal, all those others you mentioned would probably be $250+ on a weekend.

If you are looking for a better deal, in a lower tier hotel I'd check out Mandalay Bay, Mirage or maybe MGM Grand (which just remodeled) those are all nicer properties, I'd say a 1/2 step to a full step above Monte Carlo, Luxor and NYNY

That is an okay deal for the weekend at the MC. Definitely isn't as nice as the other places you mentioned. I like a nice room, but for me it's not a place I hang out in all day. Give me the casino and pool any day.

Have you checked what CET charges, or gives away for that weekend?

CET is asking for about 200 bucks a night for my dates. Even IP is 140 one night, and 90 the next. I just won't do it!

Just wondering if you have called Mlife--as I wasn't seeing anything but when I called the lady found some fall offers that included free rooms at Aria-MB-BELLAGIO and a little freeplay included.
I sure didn't find anything like that on the website

I would find it hard to pay $100/night @ MC since you can usually get that at Aria and other higher ranked places via e-mail offers.
But if you happen to go at the wrong time (really busy time) that $100/night may be a bargain if the other hotels are $250/night which can happen.

Monte Carlo is still the crappiest of them all that you mentioned.

Trop was redone top to bottom, but I'm not sure if I'd choose to stay there.
