Natedog, thank you very much for taking the time and effort to post the details of your (shall I say inspiring!) trip here. It has given me a window into a world that I otherwise would not have (literally - love the pics), and provided a ton of entertainment. It's cool to know that the feel of gambling is the same at higher bet levels than mine, and most of us here on VMB.

Natedogg, thanks again for sharing. It was a blast to come along for the ride! However, wish it would have ended up a winning trip for you!

Nate, I'll add to the wishes of safe travel and thanks for the great report.

I am really kicking myself for not having this thing loaded up on my phone when I was there at the beginning of the month and getting down to the Wynn to see you play.

Hopefully it won't be a year before we see another trip.

My problem is when I take my brothers out for a comped dinner, they offer to leave the tip-great! But then they leave 10%. These are at places we dine at often and the servers know us and then I feel like they think I stiffed them. It's awkward.
I've already "forgot" my glasses at the table and gone back and put out some more cash for the tip.

anything can be picked up for players with big loss or big theo like Nate. but obviously only if you put the tip on the room, not if you give them cash.

Nate, thank you for taking us along your journey. Awesome report!!!:nworthy: I really loved all of your pictures of the different places you stayed. I had to smile when you said you were going to Disneyland. That's my other favorite place. You helped to enjoy what could have been an otherwise super long and dull part of waiting for our trip to LV. Please have a safe journey home to you and your family.

Thanks Natedog, great run, can't wait for the next one. I'm betting there's one more trip no more than 6 months from now.

Also, do you guys of casino host read this board a lot? Or especially this thread so they know what the big spender are complaining about?

For a bill where it's mostly wine, I just leave them 1k tip since that's like 50% of the dinner bill and the wine wasn't opened. I leave them that much because since it is comped anyways, it is not coming out of my pocket (it is in a roundabout way haha), and also it is against the rules for them to let me take the wine unopened out of the restaurant...never had a server refuse me before though...I just say I'm going to order two or three bottles, one (cheaper) to drink and the expensive ones if I finish the first bottle, but I never finish the first bottle....except with Shifter of course haha, so we had a nice one first that time...

I think one of the VPs at Cosmo has heard about it...but not the other two main ones I go to...I think I would write a little differently if I know they are reading, since they do have some control over my theo...would probably shut down my wine taking from restaurants....

Don't know about blow, but reading some other articles online and talking (ahem) to some other big players, if you are talking super good looking hookers ($2000/night) then 300 nights, or craig list type hookers <500 then 1200 times...:ssst:

Its a barter system. You get the wine bottles comped, trade them for blow, and trade the blow for, um, blow.

In reading of postings here, I am surprised to hear that people do not realize tips are not comped????? I mean "Really"? that people would not get this.

To Natedog Wow! I've really enjoyed reading your report! and what it's about being a "high-roller"!! Also I've enjoyed the pic! as well. Thank you!

Thank you Nate for taking the time and effort to give this much, much, much lower roller a very honest insight into how the casino experience is at your level. MGM will hopefully suffer financially after reading how they appear to be treating your level of clientelle in general, sometimes it simply shouldn't be all about 'the numbers', a shame they just don't seem to get that.

Many thanks again - been a most enlightening read,
    Furry
