I heard that this show is coming to MGM in 2013, any word on what property it will be at? Or any further updates?

I live in Chicago and the World tour of the show is coming here next week for 2 days, however I'm going to be out of town and won't be able to make it. So I'm hoping the rumors of a Vegas show of it are true.

It will be a different show completely from the touring one.

It will be in Mandalay Bay early next year; no clear word on the month. March has been thrown out there but call.

If it is going to Mandalay Bay, I would assume it is replacing The Lion King.

    Yeah, Lion King is history.
Back when this whole thing was announced and the 'World Tour' hit
the road, I'd heard the residency Show at Mandalay Bay would be similar...
It should have lots of things the touring Show can't handle on the road...that's
the neat thing about most residency Shows in Las Vegas...they create a showroom
for the Show which always makes 'em quite unique.
It's still a long way off, but the signs are up in MB already, lol. The Jackson family
just can't wait to have another pay check coming in thanks to Michael.

I saw the show when it was in Baltimore and would gladly see it again and it doesnt matter if it is the same or different. If you are a Michael Jackson fan the show is awesome.

It's kind of weird how the show will be at MB where MJ seemingly had a whole floor to himself during the infamous Martin Bashir documentary that caused his 2nd (and final) tailspin. It could have been the Four Seasons within MB. I vaguely remember there being a direct panoramic view of the north strip, so not sure which part the 4S is in. But either way...

I seen the "Imortal Tour" at the MB in Dec 2011. Wonder if the residency show will be similar or the like. Personally I thought it was great but heard some "Eh" reviews from others.

If Lion King was doing well and Viva Elvis was failing, why not put MJ at ARIA? Seems like a better fit for the demographic they're reaching for. Mandalay Bay, not so much.

I saw the one at Mandalay in December and it was by far the WORST show I've ever seen. We almost fell asleep, it was creepy, bad mixes on the songs, and we wanted to walk out half way through. Hopefully that is true that they are changing it.

    Hmm I just saw this:

I can't imagine they wouldn't change it... i'd say 80% of the reviews hate it.

I am actually looking forward to this show opening even though I'm not a huge MJ fan. I think MB will be a great spot for it. Lion King had a pretty long run there.
