iv been pretty loyal to the MGM Grand my last 7 trips to vegas, but my host is slowly getting worse and worse, i average between 150 to 250 a hand, only play blackjack and my host is very pushy and getting annoying, i feel like im not that important of a customer, is it possible to get a new host? and what about changing to another mgm hotel were i might be treated a little better for my action? they have forgot to call me back like 3 times this last week. its just getting a little annoying and i was thinking of changing to another hotel anyways. any tips on any other hotels were my action would get treated better? dosnt have to be mgm properties, but they must have decent blackjack rules in the HL rooms. thanks

Read threads by Natedogg666 and Shifter if you want to hear about MGM's comp issues.

I would look at another MGM hotel. They have your play history right there. You are already "invested" in their players club. I would think you probably have some offers already available. A call into their VIP services might be you more, to make the switch. Not sure which hotel works for you? On the next trip, go spend an hour in each of them and go from there.

Hosts can be very rude to their mid roller clients. Last year I was at Wynn and get a host for the first time, my bet average was over 300 per hand and I got no respect. Same thing with Aria this year, over 350 a hand for 16 hours in 2 nights. I decided to not use a host anymore until I can bump up my bet average to the 800 per hand range. I don't mind paying everything upfront knowing that my play will get me comped as much as the computer system casinos have will give to me. Having a good relationship with a host will probably over comp you by 5% from time to time, and that is very little of value to me considering my Theo is only around 3000ish. It will be different if I am a High Roller of course. Having no host means I feel no pressure to over bet. Just think about if you ever over bet because you wanted to be rated higher and lost more as a result, would that excess in loss cover you the extra comp you earned? Given you play at MGM where they have a bunch of high rollers and your bet average, I would recommend change to a smaller hotel such as Monte Carlo and still get a host or dump your host and talk to the on duty host at the end of your trip.

I always have offers and it's never a problem getting a room comp and usually always take care of my food but I never charge much to the room but my host is very pushy almost kinda pushing my to gamble my old MGM host never pushed me was very friendly made me feel like my play was appreciated he would have a drink with me or come visit me while I was playing etc I always saw him and made sure everything was ok but this new one I got 3 years ago is horrible I never never met her she's not very friendly on the phone never makes sure everything is ok and pushes me to gamble more wich I never do! She's very pushy and not very friendly I just don't feel like my play is appreciated hell the pit bosses are nicer to me than the host. I might have to try out the monte Carlo or maybe the mirage I don't need an upscale hotel or anything i don't care that they are not as nice of rooms as the MGM or whatever just want one that treats me right for my play

Based on your Aria play you are almost at an 800 average as your Aria play comes out to 700 average since they base things on 4 hours a day.
