Can you compare and contrast the two?

I first visited Vegas in 06 and enjoy visiting these two hotels when I go there.

I want to stay at one of the two but would also like to hear from people who have stayed there.

What you like or didn't like, too big or too small, good vibe, and food/drink service.

I'm a TR member but nothing in the top tier. I'm a low roller so not trying to break the bank in either casino :evillaugh

The past year or so I have almost always split my Vegas trips between Bellagio and Caesars, in fact last month I stayed at both.

Here is the thing, it's a tough comparison in one respect because both have two tiers of rooms which vary widely and will impact your experience. I can only speak to the remodeled rooms at Bellagio and the Palace Tower, Augustus Tower, and Octavioius tower at Caears. These are the only rooms i've stayed in.

It is said that Caesars has numerous very bad old rooms in other towers and I think Bellagio may have some older rooms in their spa tower.

That said, I'll move on with my comparison.

    #1 Room.

At Bellagio the room will be a little smaller and will likely not have the large jacuzzi tub you'll find at Caesars in the palace and octavious towers. They are both very nice. If you are taking a queen room, they are more similar than if you are taking a king. I think the King rooms at Caesars have a more legit sitting area, in fact a sectional couch at Octavious.

    #2 Hotel

Both are beautiful. I prefer Bellagio as Caesars is a little rambling for me.

    #3 Casino

I literally hate the Caesars casino. It is full of old union hags who peaked in 1967. At least Bellagio is full of bitchy menopausals who peaked in 1997. I actually brought this up in a conversation with Gary Selesner. I had a few drinks before stumbling into him. Plus the limits are high and the gaming conditions are horrible.

    #4 Pool

    Like both, prefer Bellagio.

    #5 Food

Never eaten anywhere in Caesars except prob room service. Love Bellagio restaurants from Buffet to Room Service to Prime Steakhouse.

    #6 Location

Basically equivalent, but you can end up with some longer walks then you expect from Ocatvious and Palace towers. Now this may not seem like a big deal until your trying to get a drunk tall gal in heels back to your room before she sobers up.

    #7 Service

Both are hit and miss. You can get incredible service at both from very nice people, but both have a good majority of incompetents working their various tables and booths. It can be hard to get a drink on the floor at Bellagio.

    #8 Intangibles

This is where Bellagio really does it for me. It just feels like a class act. They both do in fact. But something about Caesars doesn't do it for me. It almost seems like Caesars overvalues what they offer. Similar to MGM, I think they have this certain sliver of loyal following from "back in the day" who strokes their egos enough to make them think they "still got it". They don't. I can't quite put my finger on it. I guess its like you'd feel more comfortable taking a hot girl your trying to impress back to Bellagio. You'd feel more comfortable taking Macker's mom back to Caesars.

Beejay, great review. Pretty much confirms everything on TripAdvisor I have read. One thing I did not get was how Ceasars charges so much for even their basic old rooms. I rarely see a deal worth getting at CP, but Bellagio seems to have equivelant prices for their remodeled rooms. Maybe it is just the stigma attached to CP that makes people think it is on par with B when it really not. I also hate getting lost in their casino, I always manage to come out the wrong side and end up walking down the outside of their building just to make sure I make it back to the strip, otherwise it is a giant circle.

Without a doubt, we prefer Bellagio. Caesars is too rambling and dis-jointed. Only plus for some people is easy access to mall. With reasonable priced shops vs. Bellagio high end stuff.

Sure, rooms in Augustus tower are great. And we love great rooms, but, they just don't do it for us.

I've only stayed in Palace Tower and Augustus Tower.

I prefer Augustus. Have stayed many times and have always received a Bellagio fountain view.

My husband likes the rooms but hates the walk. Caesars is huge. Plan on doing alot of walking just to get back and forth to your room.

They've always treated us well so when it comes to Customer Service, I've never had a problem.

Are you paying for your room? This would be my deciding factor.

    Stayed at Bellagio 1X & Caesars 1X

Caesars - Augustus Tower room was great w/great view of Bellagio Fountains
Bellagio rooms not too shabby either

Qua Spa better than Bellagio's Spa

Bellagio's Casino, Dining & Buffet better than Caesar's

Entertainment - Caesars Coliseum is 2nd to none!

Having stayed at both properties multiple times, there is just something extra that Bellagio has over Caesars that is indefinable. It just feels...cleaner? I don't know what it is exactly, but I would take Bellagio over Caesars any day.

In terms of gambling, I think Bellagio is tough to beat for table games as long as you aren't looking for low limits. For quarter or dollar slots, I think Caesars may have an edge. For penny slots, I actually think that Bellagio has a good variety despite its high-end reputation, with a good balance of old and new. But Caesars probably has more overall. Certainly, for me, the casino floor at Bellagio is more comfortably arranged and easier to navigate. I'm not much of a VP player, but the machines seem pretty similar in number and type to me. The sports book at Caesars is certainly a memorable place to hang out during a big game.

One other difference of note is that Caesars has an inexpensive food court, plus lots of ornamentation to gawk at (inside and outside) and, of course, the Forum shops. So, there's probably more besides gambling to keep you or your loved ones busy at Caesars--and to help stretch your bankroll. But it does tend to seem more like a theme park to me than a resort.
