Yeah, I like those games where you have a chance on every hand. On BJ, sometimes there's no way to win, dealer can have a BJ. On Bac you can guess, on craps, the physics of the moment.

yep, same here. i like to know when i sit down at a Bacc table i can win every hand - and i have won every hand at a table before in a short burst. with BJ you know you're guaranteed to lose some hands no matter how well you play.

Wow what another disastrous start. Had a big crowd around me betting max at the craps table, drop 500k in 2.5 hours. Quite stupid.

I realize our 3 musketeers luck is not working anymore, break up angrily and go to the baccarat table at the Wynn.

No offense to Nacho and Cuz, but the mojo just wasn't there. Nobody could really make a pass, and we were blowing through some major dough.

Shifter will appreciate this next part.

I go to bac, just a regular 300 dollar table, I reserve it, and it was a new shoe with cut card A. I only bet 2nd banker this entire shoe. Would do some free hands in between.

    I bet 25k, lose
    I bet 75k, lose
    I bet whatever change, lose.

Now I have 400k left, and am down 600k for the day.
    I bet 175k banker, 5k tie, 5k pairs....win with pair of 9s
    boom just got 175k+55k-8750
another 2nd banker, I bet 175k, same things
    boom 7 over 6 barbecue
    I chicken out totally...starting to bet 28k, 36k, 42k

I hit a bunch in a row ( I would have made well over 1m if I kept up the 175k)
ended up + 385k at the table, dealers made 4k from my bets for them. Gave me an 85k avg bet...crazy.

So basically down 100k at the Wynn right now. Down 145k at the MGM.

Wynn theoretical is totally crazy...any VMBer sees me at the Wynn and fist bumps me with Natedog I will comp a 20 dollar sandwich haha...although no carbs for me.

Damn, Nate! I was scared to bug you and break any mojo you has because everything I touched at Wynn this morning went to shit!! I did not want that on my conscience.

Shit, yesterday I was gonna say if you got back to +275k by July 4th, I'd buy you lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. Decided not to in case it'd jinx you. :confused2:

ahhhhhhh! that's exactly what i do so often. :( chicken out when i can't lose, but get bold to press when i can't win. :( in fact on Saturday night banker had won 6 in a row and i was pressing and had just won $6k and had $9k on the felt and this girl decides to bet player. well i immediately drop my bet down to $2500. of course she pulls 3 monkeys. 3 f-ing monkeys!!! you can't get any worse than that. it's the best feeling in the world to be sitting there with a huge bet out there and the other side has 0 and you can't possibly lose. i was pissed that i had let her bet convince me to drop my bet. not only that, my next bet after that was going to be $15k table max, but since i hadn't won the $9k, i only pressed to $5k and what do i get but a natural 9. and then followed that with 2 more natural 9s that i should have hit for $15k each. could have won 60k easy right there. so maddening to get scared and leave money on the table like that ...... :grrr:

LOL! that's so freaking awesome. i love it. :)

dude, at this rate you're going to have well over 1M in theo before you leave. we need to drink a shitload of Cristal and Louis XIII on the golf course to burn up some of those comps, lol.

Am starting to worry I may suffer withdrawals after this trip end because I'm checking the thread every 2 hours (24 hrs per day). Natedogs other trip reports have been awesome, but I think this is already the best trip report ever!:nworthy::beer::nworthy:

    Natedog,

Thank you for opening my eyes to the world of baccarat. I nevered played it, always played craps and video poker. Played baccarat the first time in Mohegan Sun high limit room last week and made a nice profit. Had 6 players, a tie and 5 more players in a row. I wish I had of pressed it more, Ho hum. Going to Vegas on July 14th and can't wait to play again. Thanks again and good luck.

Oh, boy - the Horror, the Horror!

Yeah, like NateDog said, today just didn't happen for us....

We tried to do our routine with early morning golf, and a break somewhere during the back 9 to gobble up some butterflied hotdogs....yummm!

We talked about the vegasmessageboard comments - Natedog was telling me that people got a kick outta my portable dice tossing rig. I was telling Natedog, with all of the crazy things we do on these trips and all of the crazy people who would join along (like, yours truly with the dice setting :wink2: ), that we should "pitch" a reality TV show and go hit casinos around the world with our exploits - it'd be like a casino gamblers version of the Seinfeld show - haha!
(Hey, why not! Natedog's god sister is a comedy TV show producer :wink2:)

    Anyways...

After the round of golf, off to the tables at the Wynn to see if we can re-capture the magic of the first couple of days. On our way to the tables, we figured out that "The Cuz" - not only needed a real nickname other than "The Cuz", but that it was his time to be lucky and start us off.

We finally got to the table and we have the whole thing to ourselves!

Natedog takes his usual spot, Side-out right. The Cuz; Right Stick 1, and yours truly on Left Stick 1.

The Cuz starts - establishes the point, then seven-outs. And then the dice come to me, and I don't do much better. I think we went 2 rounds like that - quick seven-outs before Natedog got the dice and got a pass on the 10.

Well, it wasn't a big hand, but it gaves us hope that Natedog somehow nudged the table to the "warm" side.

Unfortunately, it didn't hold - another round of disappointment! We even switched places to see if we could change the mojo - no effect...another round of disappointment.

Then I switched back to Left Stick 1 and grabbed the dice - changed my grip to see if it would have any effect...now I was tossing dice like I was pitching horseshoes :licklips:

Established the point of 10, threw some numbers, then hit the ten! Ok! that's a start. Established a point of 8, threw more numbers, then nailed the 8! Maybe the dice gods were taking pity on us and decided to cut us a break! Established a point of 9, threw more numbers - now this time we were in the running for the All Small, All Tall, and All feature bet...we were just missing the 2 and the 11. After a couple of numbers, I hit the 9! Nice! three passes with no 7 and all we need is either a 2 or an 11 or both for a payout on the All,Tall, and Small feature bet - payout of x35 for the small, another x35 for the Tall, and another x175 for the all...I start rolling for the come-out...come on YO!....come on "snake eyes"!...

I toss the dice....the dice roll...stop and show...

A point of 5. I roll one or two more times and seven-out!...DOH!

After counting my chips, I came back half way on my roll from a brutal start. Now, normally I leave at that point, but the thinking was that we left too early when we where winning in the first couple of days - so this time we were gonna stay until we had a bad round again...

"The Cuz" gets the dice now from his new position, Left Straight-out...he tosses some numbers - it feels good...makes a pass...then seven-outs.

Then Natedog gets it...tosses some numbers, makes a pass, tosses some more numbers -then seven-outs. Then the pain started again - another round of short hands and we can't catch a break...I'm tapped out and stand on the side-lines to see if "The Cuz" and Natedog can catch a hand...neither do, and that...became...that...

We split off - Natedog takes off for Bacc, "The Cuz" heads to parts unknown and I decide to go eat lunch at Red8...then back to the MGM, relax, talk with the girlfriend, and write-up what you're readin' now!

Will tomorrow be a better day? Hey, any thing's possible in Vegas, baby!:wink2:

    great reality show

I have been checking live reporting of the $1 million buy-in event at WSOP yesterday and today, which is exciting, but following along with Natedog and his two amigos is even better. :nworthy:

Your enthusiasm over the big wins (and the self-recrimination after the big losses) is just soooo relateable.

Hope the luck turns back your way soon. Of course, I believe it can ... or I wouldn't be a gambler!

    NateDogg -

I'll be arriving in town on Saturday the 7th for the Main Event at the World Series of Poker but would love to catch you rolling the dice... Are you playing mainly at Wynn? I have a reservation for dinner at Encore (Sinatra) on Sunday the 8th, any chance you are playing that night?

Ooo Sinatra is one of my favorite restaurants (before this stupid diet), the truffle fettucini thing is to die for...

I'm actually mostly on my wife's schedule, so trying to find gambling time in between. She already reamed me out for being late today (haha we know who the boss is in this family)...so I spent all afternoon today after the bac comeback playing miniature golf and at the mansion pool with the kids :)

My table is at the Wynn, the vertical table at the crossroads, with the stanchions around one end; should be reserved for awhile til I leave town.

Good luck on the world series! I might enter it to be dead money :)
