    Hello,
I was wondering if any one new or if anyone could direct me to a website or contact that would help me find out if there is an event going on anywhere on or around the strip for opening ceremonies. My friends and I are Olympic junkies and we were thinking it would be cool if we could find an Olympic party or just a really cool bar/place to get together with people to watch and celebrate the Olympics.
    Thank you!!

I would think the sports books at most casinos would be your place, but I'm not 100%.

I don't know if sports books will show the Olympics or not. You can't legally bet on the Olympics in Vegas, so the books probably just ignore them.

Check with the LV Hilton. They have a big auditorium their sports book uses for football season, but I'd assume it's empty during the Olympics. Maybe they're show it there.

Due to the time difference maybe some of the Sportsbooks will put them up on the big screens they use for horse\dog racing until those races begin.

Yea, check out the Queen Victoria British Pub. They've got great food and pints. I think they are putting on a big Olympic party. Queen Victoria is in the Riviera. They are good people!
