Friday afternoon there was a message on my home phone from a casino host at Caesar's properties. It was later followed up by an email from the same person telling me that he was my host and let him know next time I would be in town and he would do what ever he could to ensure I had a great stay. I did email him back (per his request) and told him my plans for my trip in September. I told him the offer code for the 5 comped nights, and also that I received a mailer that's offer included 500 cash, and 100 food. I also told him I had already booked this online. My tier score with caesars is 5133, so I am platinum. Don't know if it makes any difference but have been in Caesars properties for 4 nights this year and played entirely slots. With that in mind I am trying to determine if I can expect the host to offer anything that I don't already have. My comped room is north tower Bally's. Not really looking for anything specific maybe more food money, or room upgrade.
They have a bunch of people that call prospects and try to get them into the casino. My experience as a Diamond is that they can usually match the existing offers, add a few nights if needed, get a room upgrade. Nothing as to free tickets, etc. At least for us.
I wouldn't expect too much more than what you're getting, at this point anyway. I barely make Diamond each year and have a host 'team' that takes care of me. The host at Flamingo takes care of me when I'm on site and the host at Caesars takes care of all of my reservations leading up to my trip. For simplicity's sake, I just email them the dates I want to come in. They email me back what 'offers' they can tie to it and give me options, like $300 FP if you stay at PHo or show tickets if you stay at Flamingo, etc. I rarely get anything I couldn't get on my own via the website. As a matter of fact, when I tried to do a back-to-back offer they said they couldn't do it without me 'paying' for a night or two in between (which I used my TR points to pay for). The one thing that has proven to be a benefit by using my host to book is that I always get an upgraded room type confirmed before my arrival. Never anything less than a GO Room at Flamingo (and lately it's been the 1-bedroom Neapolitan Suite), a Strip Suite at PHo and Augustus Tower at Caesars.
I never get it directly from her. I usually get it about 3 days out on the reservation page online. I usually know I'm looking at an upgrade when there's no picture or room type listed on the reservation online immediately after booking with my host (after I get the confirmation number). The last time I was in a 1-bedroom Neapolitan Suite, they had me in a 'specific' suite. But I was checking in early and they hadn't checked out yet so they bumped someone out of the same room on a different floor to get me checked in hoping they were coming in later when my room would be available for them. This was in the Diamond Check-In.
