Natedogg, how bad of a mess is MGM? Coming in tomorrow and didn't think that it would be noticeable, sounds like I was wrong!

The rest of the casino is ok, just the HL Mansion area and the Skyloft entrance are under remodeling...they say should be done in 3 weeks...

    Day 2 Night time

So after all this craps play, I figure eventually I have to hit the baccarat tables.
A little scared because usually i win at one and lose at the other...

I start out with the usual betting pattern on gold plate number 4: 18, 22, 28 etc...I would win the first bet, lose the 2nd...

This goes on for a while, steadily losing a few thousand every few hands, until I start betting the pair pair tie...I hit 4 in a row, and now I'm up about 30k, to get something going I put 5k aside to lock in the win and bet the rest on bank. Player gets face card and ace, I get four side and face card....blow blow blow...nope it's a 10. Player gets face card to make a 1. I get another four side....blow blow blow...nope 10 to make a 0. What a lousy way to lose 25k.

Anyways, up 5k and run away....

I haven't even stepped into their hotel yet, not sure whether I will stay there because people tell me the rooms can't really compare with MGM Mansions or Wynn Villas, and I'm here with the family so not really in an experimental mood...

I was just planning on going to check out their gambling and incentives.

You should go check their rooms out, because I am going to be laughing my ass off when you come back and report that they graciously comped you a wraparound terrace suite for your play!!!

    Enjoying the report, continued luck!

Cosmo will put him in one of their penthouses for sure, but it doesn't really compare with the mansion or Wynn villas IMO.

Glad to hear you're hitting them hard so far. I can feel this trip on its way to being a 1m+ trip.

Thanks Dean, you are right the health is most important...I don't look that healthy sweating over the craps table during a hot roll...

    Day Three

After golf, decided to try our luck at the tables with Nacho and Cuz. Cuz was pissing me off by not giving me any strokes at golf (he is about 10 better than me) and telling me about his 2x 6 pass rolls last night (hate those stories).

We made medallions to make sure nobody takes Natedog's 1/2 craps table again...ever, and let them there. Please swing by and check them out if you are in the area.

I made a good 3 pass roll, lots of numbers, but was pressing slowly because of the negativity with Cuz....so made less....Nacho can tell more.

I love it when they count up more than you started.

+50k....I like the way this Trip pattern is going!

    Day Three

Disaster...what a lousy day....after that win in the morning it was + 325k total, but lost almost 500k at craps this afternoon, just could not make a pass and kept pressing.

Good thing I went on total tilt (see this is how you lose millions) and went to Bac and started max betting the 70k.

Won a bunch of it back, but still down -245k at the MGM for this afternoon....
    lots of theo though

    Now +80k....

As a gambler, I understand the swings, but I want to beat myself up as an idiot...I'm sure some of the fellow readers on this board can relate...should have left -100, -150, -200....friggin didn't leave til -500.....what a tool I am....

Sorry to hear that, but you're definitely not alone, it happens to the best of us - don't beat yourself up over any one session though - you're three days into a 17 day trip, so think about it like a marathon, not a sprint - let that be your guide whenever you go up or down too much in any one session this trip - with that much time, your theo will be fine, so whenever you get down more than high five or low six figures, take a break & remind yourself there's plenty of time to play this trip compared to most, so just walk away instead of pressing & chasing the losses when the dice are cold or the shoe is choppy.

Easier said than done I know - believe me, I've played way too many winning trips into losers myself by not walking away when I knew I should've - but 17 days, you can look at that as a positive in that you've got the time to let that "there's always tomorrow" marathon mentality be your guide & keep you from getting too caught up in any one session.

Now get back in there & win one [million dollars] for the Gipper!

    OK, pep talk done.
