    yeah i heard about this and was just glad it didn't happen at newark! tsa is just a false sense of security. they won't even let independent studies be done about the safety of the full body scanner, saying their own (biased?) studies are just fine. i don't trust it. i kinda think that even if we had tsa around before 9/11, 9/11 (or a similar terrorist attack) would have happened anyway. there are still a lot of loopholes in our security, and terrorists (domestic included) are persistent enough to find them.

    when i was flying to vegas last week, i saw a sign that said people under a certain age and over a certain age would not be required to remove shoes and belts (it was for seniors and children). this is the first time i've seen that sign. must be their way of fixing all of their failures screening the elderly and children.
