    My Trip Report

Last minute trip for Me and Mrs Gigglemonkee to Las Vegas with one week notice. Saw a comp for 3 nights and 50 dollars free place for Rio so that was booked as some of my other haunts would only do 2 nights. Didn't hurt that I had about 20000 RC for TR as well. Drove to vegas leaving about 930 and arriving at 130 with a quick drive through for my Vegas Whopper on the way. Getting to Rio and checked in very easy with a quick trip upstairs to unpack and down to the carnival buffet for a late lunch. After lunch I hit the tables for a quick hit and run on bj making 300. After that we headed out going to Circus Circus for their promo chip deal. 45 bucks of chips for 25. Did that for both of us and the wife goes off to play slots and I quickly turn the chips in to 250 cash so we play a little slots, walk around the adventure dome and cut out to jerrys nugget for some old school playing. At jerrys I made a quick 50 bucks on some fp i had at their BJ tables and went to roulette. after 3 spins I left as the dealer didn't know how to add up saying that the table minimum had to be bet on each number not spread around. Back to the RIO for the wife to crash and I head down to the tables making a quick 400 profit and clearing 1k for the day. Day end up 1k.

Day 2 we wake up early, or at least i did and head down to the tables. between some bad splits, and double downs and playing some baccarat in the high limit room i get down to about 500. We head over to MSS for some fun cheap buffet and slots and I play the tables for an hour ending up even. Figuring I should quit i go up stairs where the wife wakes up and we head out for some pawn shops, antique store and the gun store. Quick stop at HR hotel for Johnie Smalls for the wife's favorite pb and j and some bets for the parents at the sports book and then back to the RIO for a relax and then a quick 200 loss at the table we change and go to the Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Good steak, but under seasoned and the potatoes and carrots were yummy. Desert was fantastic with the key lime mouse. After Circus Circus and a quick 20 bucks in the slots we head back to the hotel to call it a night. Day ended down 700 but up 300 for the trip.

Day 3 we wake up and decided to go to Serendipity 3 for lunch and I gotta say the Crab Cakes are fantastic. This is coming from a Baltimore Bay Boy born and raised. Service was slow but food made up for it then off to Gold and Silver Pawn to shop around. I like to buy and sell silver here and there and go in and they are charging at least twice what spot is on silver. I'm sorry but spending 60 bucks for 30 bucks of silver is not my idea of a good deal and they won't even negotiate on prices there. Very much not like tv over the years as they inflate everything. Saw a mandolin for 1500 that at most should be 400. Then down to Fremont for fun and casino hopping. I go to the HL room in Golden Nugget and after 2 hours am up 600 bucks for the day winning back the previous day lost. A Host gives me his card and tells me to call him next time I come into town if I want to stay there as I am getting pretty tired of the strip and like downtown and off strip better. After nugget some pie at the coffee shop and down to the casinos on fremont for some signups on players club and free play. Eventually ending at Binions I uses the first card ace coupon and press that win to get a quick 50 bucks profit. Off to Wynn for some dinner. I have eaten at buffets all over the world and I must say that is the best buffett I have had in vegas yet. Blows wicked spoon away and the service and food quality was spot on with every bite. Delicious!!! Now to Circus Circus where we walk in and I give myself a 200 buck limit on tables and start playing. Playing 25 buck BJ first hand lost, second hand lost, third-7 lost. Last hand and I win one so I push it with last 25 and turn it to 50, then 100, then 200, then 400. So now I am up 200 and I head over to a shoe table and start playing two-3 spots at 50 a hand. 2 shoes later Im up 1000 and quit. End up day up 1700 with a total trip win of just under 2k after expensive and food.

Drive back home went smooth and already thinking about the next trip.

Yeah I think the rules are better. A 25 buck better is a High Roller and at any table I can play 2 or 3 spots at table min instead of double min. I like playing two spots sometimes 3 in BJ

I think so too. I usually stay at a comped room on strip and drive to north Vegas but downtown just has a happy vibe. Dealers were are smiling and friendly then went to Wynn and not a smile in the place

Sounds like a super enjoyable trip. The GN must be doing something right, my son liked it best out of all the places he & my husband went... but like you he came out a winner, funny how that helps a place feel good haha.

Did you all go shooting or shopping at the gun store?

I was looking for a few parts for my guns and some addons. I would never shoot there as I have shot fully auto before and with their prices a mag will last a whole 5 seconds and you pay 100 bucks. I rather buy a gun for that kind of money but being in california it is hard to buy out of state.

I have only had one trip that I didn't come out ahead on and that was to Hard Rock last dec. lost 400 but all food and room were comped so I was not too upset. I go to the casino 3-5 times a week and never leave with less than i walk in with.

go to the players desk in the front by the buck machines and they will print the paper then take it to the cage and give them the cash and they will give you a back with some promo chips and a stack for the add-on. i think it endeds up being 25 bucks for either 45 or 50 bucks of promo chips for any table and a few of those strategy cards. i have done it a few times and never had a problem every 6 months.

dang, giggles!! Great winning streak!! So jealous that you live close enough to drive AND have casinos at home. Hopefully, TX will get gambling passed soon, as Tilman Fertita of the Golden Nugget is ready to roll in Kema, just thirty mints away from us!
