I am typically a video keno player as my game of choice. I started playing the multi-game that features both vp and vk and, recently, every now and again, would switch up when keno was not kind to me and began playing Deuces Wild.

Playing at MGM Detroit last night I was taking a pretty good beating all the way around. Got down to using $17 in point play. The deal gave me 4 of the RF cards. I thought for sure bust or with a deuce. Hit the draw and my son pokes me and said you got it!

Well, I'll be darn....$1000.00! What a thrill! Told my son, I would play to $900 and run out. Switched back to 4 card Keno and a hit a real quick 6 out of 6 for $800! Yeah me!

Just wanted to share because the Royal without a Deuce still has me amazed. Didn't think I would ever see one!:woohoo:

Whoo-Hoooo!!! Congrats!!!! The elusive Royal still awaits me, though my wife has hit 4 of them in 25 years.

My first (and only) Royal was a sad tale of woe... I was at the airport heading out of town after getting kicked in the groin by an extra wide losing streak (as Roy Munson would say "It got both of them").

To kill time waiting for the flight, I was playing $.25 VP at two credits when I was dealt the Royal. A couple hundred bucks was nice, but it didn't bring me anywhere near even, and all it did was get me frustrated :bang: because I know darn well that you are supposed to play MAX credits. It was like the gambling gods were giving me one last "eff ewe" for the trip :cuss:

Nice Job! I can't wait until I get one. The wife and I took my parents along on one of our trips about 10 years ago. My dad decided to wander off and play while we were watching a football game at Harrah's. He comes back with this sad, dejected look on his face saying that he won:( He was down to his last credit and... you guessed it, decided to play it off and got dealt a Royal Flush.
BTW trying to help the situation by saying at least you still won doesn't really help:nono:

Thanks everyone. It was pretty surreal as I am not an avid VP player and never thought I would see it!

I remember our first royal. It was on our first ever trip to Vegas. Very thrilling. After that it seems like one of us got a royal on every trip for almost 20 years. We actually came to expect it. Currently we haven't had a royal in over 2 years and that includes our local casino. Really sucks. Congrats and hope you go on a 20 year run!!!!

Funny you should say that because I was thinking the exact same thing. If I keep chasing the next one I'll blow my winnings back. Took the money and put it in my Vegas fun for my September trip. I need to put more money in there than spend it her locally. Well, I wouldn't mind going but don't have unlimited funds and like to not have to worry in Vegas.

I like to buy instant cashword scratch off lottery tickets occassionally. Since I won I asked my son to stop and my me 10 since I won. $20 spent and won $61. $41 profit. Not bad since they are usually a bust!

you're on a roll. enjoy....it may last a while but not likely forever.
    I had a time period where I was getting a Royal every trip....like 4 in a row....then none for a while.

Congrats on getting your first royal. Still remember my first at the MGM.

I was in Vegas this past weekend at Caesars playing the STP slant top near the Forum Shops and just after wondering if anyone ever hit a royal in this area I got this:
