    Hey everyone.....

Staying at Encore next month - lots of $ put into room, need to scale back food costs to even budget out. I know Wynncore is pricey for food. Any good suggestions for nearby food deals?

Casino Royale has some bargain basement fast food options. Other than that, even at TI you are in the coffee shop high rent district.

Fashion Show Mall is right across the street and has many cheaper food offerings than Encore.

Also, if you cross the pedestrian bridge/walkway to Venetian/Palazzo there are lots of cheaper offerings too.

I agree with the Fashion Show Mall suggestion - there are a couple of good restaurants like Maggiano's (not that expensive and if you sign up for their e-newsletter on their website they will send you a $10 off coupon) but there is also a full food court with plenty of options:

You could also walk a couple of blocks north to the Peppermill (it is on the same side of the Strip, right before you get to The Riviera). Peppermill serves huge portions that can be shared and the food is delicious:

Taco el Gordo is about 1 block north of Wynn in a little strip mall. Best tacos you'll eat in you're whole life!

Is that the little strip mall with the Walgreens in it? That Walgreens is another good tip for getting drinks and snacks to bring back to the room. It is much closer to Encore than the one at Venetian.

There is always the Peppermill (although I've had awful service the last 3 times and won't go back) and the Riviera is right next door. Their buffet is cheap, and some people might like it.

For good deli food inside Wynn, try Zoozacrackers. $12-15 range. Yum!

It's before you get to the Walgreens. There's a tattoo parlor, pizza joint, and a few other restaurants in the strip mall.

I suggest the spicy pork...delish! I forgot to mention they are $2 each. I get 2-3 and is a perfect amount.

    TACOS? SERIOUSLY?

We went to Phoenix earlier this year (where we had tacos every day) I craved tacos for 2 weeks.

I will definitely be checking this out - Thanks!

As several others have mentioned, the Fashion Show Mall has several dining options that may fit your budget. I believe that all four of these restaurants have pretty decent happy hours. Most of in the 4-7 pm timeframe, but they vary.

    El Segundo Sol
    Maggiano's
    Ra Sushi
    Stripburger

Isla at TI isn't dirt cheap but its pretty reasonable and I've always liked the food. They also have a pretty good happy hour.

There is also a food court at Venetian that you might want to check out.

just don't go to the Johnny Rockets in the Fashion Mall, I paid $22 for 1 regular burger and fries and a shake, that did include the tip. The service was good. But I prefer The In and Out or the Fat Burger and a lot cheaper.

Grand Lux Cafe @ Palazzo or Venetian is good for a reasonable price (~$15/person)

We may have to try Grand Lux again - have gone 3 times there. First 2 times were really good, last time took 20 -25 minutes to get a coffee and 45 minutes just to get our order in. Wife has them on our 'banned' list for that.

I should have also put this at the beginning post, but I am driving down so I will have my car and can drive a bit. So something on East Desert / Twain/ Spring Mountain within a few minutes would be awesome too

If you have a car you can go anywhere.
I am also staying at Encore and still seeking cheap eats.

Here are the places I am considering:

Wynn Buffet Lunch included with room.
Ellis Island for the steak dinner $8.
Hard Rock for the Steak and Shrimp $7.77
Main Street Station Buffet using vegasexperience bogo coupon
Fremont Buffet using bogo vegasexperience bogo coupon
Silverton Buffet using bogo coupon from ACG
Gold Nugget Buffet using bogo coupon from ACG
Any buffet during meal crossover time

If I decide I want something a little more upscale
    tix4dinner deal for Hugos
Flame Restaurant at 50% off ACG coupon
    Restaurant.com coupons

I second Tacos El Gordo De Tijuana. Amazing food, great authentic atmosphere and they're open until 4am. A block from Encore.

I've eaten there on every trip since they've opened. It makes it easier if you can speak to them in Spanish, but no worries if you're English only.
