Anybody had good fortune recently playing video poker? What and where would be appreciated. Headed out the last week of June.

I have had good leck at the following places:

    1. 10/7 DB progressive quarter VP at 4 Queens. Near entrance to Magnolias. Hit the royal
    last trip.

    2. 9/6 DDB with progressive on all quads (not royal). Quarter. At the bars. Lots of fun!

    3. 10/7 DB dollar machines at Cal which offer 5000 for royal in hearts. Was dealt 2 to the royal
last trip & was shocked to see the remaining 3 pop up -- for $4,000! A couple of years ago,
I watched three young Hawaiian guys sharing one machine. Almost as soon as they sat down,
they were DEALT a royal in hearts for $5,000!!

    4. There are some old quarter VP machines near the keno area at the Fremont. Some are coin
droppers, and some are TITO. But they have 99 to 100% paytables. Hit a royal there, and
was touched for luck by numerous very nice Hawaiian ladies. Made my day!

    5. There is a group of four quarter VP machines near the craps table closest to the bathroom.
They are 9/6 DDB. For some reason, I have had good luck there. And the drink service is
good. Comps tend to rise rapidly there. I've had two great dinners at their steakhouse with
comp credits from plaing there (admittedly for hours!).

    6. MSS is my go-to place when I want to play a long time on the 100.7% 10/7 DB quarter machines.
There are two large banks of machines. One fairly close to 777 & the others near the valet
parking entrance. I've hit several royals there, and have cashed more than a hundred scratch
cards over the years. Good drink service, and a very pleasant casino!

    7. Dave's Bar on second floor of Cal. In the small sports book area. Watch games on TV, and play
    VP.

    8. Tiny bar just to your left when you enter Cal from Main Street. For some reason, I've been
lucky there. And it's kind of quiet.

    9. Places I can't seem to do any good: Vegas Club, Plaza, Golden Gate, Nugget, and El Cortez.
I know. If the payables are the same, then that doesn't make sense. Well, the payables
actually are lower at those places. So, I haven't spent hours playing there. And I don't have
any great memories from those places.

Hope this helps a little. Let me know where you had the most fun, because I'm
    heading back downtown in August!

    Oops!

    Luck, not leck. Haha!

    Playing, not plaing.

    Sorry!

I love the VP at MSS. I'm not one to search too far for full pay, but I try to find the best paytables I can. MSS has almost always been kind to me. :)

I put $40 into a machine in April and got this:

    Thank you, Robert!

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. One question: on number 5, which casino are you referring to? My guess is Binion's, but I'm not sure.

    Thank you SO much!

    Oops! My error!

Yes, you guessed correctly. It is Binions.

You need to push the change button and get an attendant to come and give you one. I rarely have to wait more than a minute or two.

I really had some good luck at the Four Queens at the bar just inside the entrance by the North Tower. I only played quarter vp but had many 4OAK's.

I also like MSS vp. Last September I played the nickel machines for hours and hours and accumulated over 30 of those scratch offs. Every single one of them were $1. Maybe they have different scratch offs for bigger denominations.

And if you're playing at the bar, tell the bartender and they will call them. In either case, don't play another hand until you get your card.

Main Street is hard to beat. Good pay tables, plus the "score with four" cards. Will be there in a week!

What is theLargest hit someone has hit on the scratch offs from MMS?

$5,000 is the largest and that happens every 18-24 months, or so.
My wife's largest is $10 and mine is $5. $2 is the minimum when playing quarters and the one most often received, with an occasional $3.
If you are playing nickels, then they have a different colored card and the minimum is $1, I think, not positive on that.

I agree with Joe regarding the cards. It sure is fun to collect a stack of them.

However, you are supposed to cash them within 24 hours. Once I was there for four days, and
the cashier kindly scolded me because several of mine were about two days old.

You are right about the 24 hours but it seems to depend on the cashier. Some check the dates, others don't.

We've been known to forget to cash a couple and end up with them at home. Next trip we just mix them into what hopefully is a large stack of cards. No problems so far, but we are trying harder to cash them all before we leave.

Love playing VP at MSS and 4Q. Got 4 Aces on my first 4OAK at MSS's Boar's Bar and had to have Joe tell me what to do to get the scratch card. Fortunately Jose the bartender (outstanding by the way) was able to get the attendant to stop by to give me the scratch card ($3 that time).

Just don't play another hand and be patient. Hard to beat the MSS for VP when you include the scratch cards.

Can't wait when I return to downtown the last week of July! (Hot hot hot!)
