    My Trip Report

    Pre Trip Thoughts.
I have been waiting for a fly to Vegas for free offer from CET. I have gotten offers for Atlantic City and Biloxi and Tunica in the past. I still have yet to see one for Vegas, but I got an offer that is better.

My last trip was to Planet Hollywood and I hit Platinum while I was there, and was able to get some good coin in. Planet Hollywood finally gave me a good offer of $500 free play for each month of June July and August. I decided to do it since that is more than my flight costs.

My game plan is to take $800 in addition to the $500 for a $650 a day bank roll. I play slots and Video Poker and I am prepared to lose the whole thing, as long as I get a lot of play and have fun that is OK. Hitting a royal or a good jackpot would be welcomed, but I have learned to not expect that, otherwise you chase money or have a bad outlook if you bust.

I am going to play primarily at Planet Hollywood. Cosmo is still running the $100 loss match, I will run over there and sign up and play. My dining is going to be mainly Earl of Sandwich, Spice Market Buffet and I want to check out Lobster Me.

I am driving to Atlanta airport for a flight that leaves at 10:10AM. That means I will be hitting Atlanta during rush hour traffic. It is a 2 and a half hour drive under normal circumstances. I am adding an hour for traffic, and an hour for getting through the airport. I am an insomniac that gets off work at 11:15PM. I will probably leave at 4 am to give me plenty of time to get there and avoid the heaviest traffic.

It is a 2 night trip so I'm just bringing a backpack with two changes of clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, cologne, phone, headphones, charger, advil. I'm going to get off the plane, and take a shuttle or a cab, I'm currently undecided. Check in, drop backpack off, and eat lunch at Spice Market Buffet using $5 off coupon. Afterwards I am going to see what happens with my $500 free play.

I debated playing higher limits than I normally play with the free play, but I have decided to stick with my normal slots and VP. The advantages of going high limit is a chance to hit a bigger payout than you would normally see, and normally pay tables or payouts are better in the high limit rooms. The downside is $500 is not much and can disappear in minutes and you don't have many betting units to work with.

On the other hand, staying at my normal level of $2 to $3 max bet slots or .25/.50 cent poker I can get good play and enough betting units to see some bonus rounds or some good hands. I plan on hit and run strategy and not playing out to zero. I am going to cycle 100 through and set that aside for the Cosmo promo. If things head south and I get down to that last $100 I will head across the street. Until then I'm going to play like a degenerate. If I hit something significant (W2 territory) I will cash it, take it to the safe and then take that other hundred over to Cosmo to break things up a little.

Cosmo will either be hit or miss. If I double up I leave. If I lose the 100 I will just cycle the 100 from Cosmo through and leave with as much of that as possible. I am leaving the 14th, on the 13th I'm going to put in a healthy session of 4 to 6 hours if my payroll stays healthy and cut it off before forced to bet lower to protect PHO comp stats. I will then go to Paris and put in time there.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Although once you get there and all of the lights and buzzers and bells go off it will all go to hell in a hand basket!

:D Pretty much. It has been over a year since I have gotten out there. That is a lot of degeneracy built up.

I only skimmed your post, but considering your thread title....may I suggest catching a Las Vegas 51s game at Cashman Field! They have home games all three nights the 12th-14th.

Well obviously your standard bankroll must be a lot higher than $500 per day to get $500 in FP!!!! My $400 a day bankroll only nets me $100 FP.

It wasn't much more last year 3500 over 5 days. I got a lot of play out of it and got enough tier credits for platinum. Normally I get free rooms and offers for tourneys, "free" cruises, or shows and dining. This offer came from Planet Hollywood exclusively. Two nights and $500 in slot/table play usable once a month for May, June, July and August. I booked august too. I think CET is putting out a lot of uncharacteristic offers to get their rooms filled this summer. This has by far been the best offer I have ever received free play wise. I can get 5 nights comped at any of their properties in some upgraded rooms, no suites or anything like that and just Augustus tower in Caesars. This was worth springing for the flight.

PHo is being kind I'm up 400 and haven't touched bankroll. That isn't including 500 free play. Up 900 since I landed with that and I have 703 tier credits in 4 hrs. Biggest hit so far has been 600 on wizard of oz. 220 on clue and 200 on top dollar. Lowest I have gotten is down 300 on my free play.

After 9 he's I'm still up 550. Got up to 1100 up. Buffet of buffets was comped and I got 1850 tier credits. I sat and played dueces wild for like 30 minutes hit a couple 4oaks and a 5oak. Just too impatient for it when slots are hopping for me.

In a month or two we will be staying for our first time at PH (and first time for any CET property).
Usually they only get minor play but this time they will get dedicated play since we are staying there.
Based on what you posted, it looks favorable that switching from MGM to CET may produce some good results.

Well I'm at the airport. I went from noon to 2am on casino cash. Got up 1200 and slowly gave it back over that 14 hours. Yesterday the slots wasn't nice and I blew my bankroll. I got very very drunk, the kind where I am swearing off alcohol. I ended up with over 3500 tier credits. And earned about 90.00 in comps. I doubt I come back this year. Flight is just too much of a hastle. I hated traffic in ATL.
