it's not a mistake, NCL is a partner with CET. They've been doing these promos for years, have a few other major partners as well. You can upgrade the rooms, also, make sure to contact the cruise line and get your account set up so that you can one of the casino cards and get free drinks in teh casino instead of paying crazy $15/drink or more. I've done a few of them, always a good time. Probably going to take a nice cruise after WSOP. Have fun on the vegas trip and the cruise!

 

I'm just Platinum too and got the same offer that last too years. We're thinking about it this year.

 

Keep in mind the fine print. You'll be responsible for the port fees and taxes, which if I recall correctly will be about $500. Additionally, NCL really nickel and dimes you for everything on the ship, good luck getting off the ship without having spent another $500. Then factor in transportation to/from the embarkation point.

That said, I've done these via vouchers from CET numerous times. As a Seven Stars member, I get a free balcony room on any NCL cruise once a year. It's definitely a good deal if you're planning to take a cruise this year, but neither NCL or CET are losing money on the deal.

 

I've been getting these for years in Atlantic City and Vegas. Yes, what Captain Jack said. Unless your already planning on cruising and going to Vegas it may not be worth the fees and airline cost to get there to pick it up. Unless you're driving there. My brother was looking at one of the cruises and the port taxes were $300 more than he paid for the exact same cruise he took the year before.

 

If you will be there anyway it definitely wouldn't hurt to pick up the voucher. I don't think you have to choose any dates at that time if I remember right from when I checked on it in a previous year.

 

I got one of those too. They have sent me a couple this year. If you are interested in a cruise it isn't a bad deal. There are fees though so it isn't a large discount.

Is those fee the same if you were to book on the NCL website?
I looked on the website, and the cruise fee with taxes are around $350 for a 7 day caribbean cruise. Or would they jack up the fees since it is free?

It is normally the same as the website... port fees/taxes. Some reports that it is slightly different, but in the same ballpark in the few we have done.

 

Are the fees jacked up?...not sure, I've never sailed with NCL other than on a "free" cruise voucher. To redeem the voucher, you call them. They'll pitch upgrading to an oceanview or balcony and then let you know the cost of taxes and port fees. I wish I could remember the exact amounts we've paid, but I know its been in the $400-500 range. Keep in mind, you'll be charged $12 per person per day for gratuity at the end of your trip. So there's another $168 to factor in.

 

THEN......add in where you live in relation to where the cruise port is.
You have to fly/travel there and likely need a hotel the night before.

Also remember, they do not expect you to show up, snatch ticket vouchers and bail, you're expected to play as you normally play or you will take a hit on your ADT as it's a "visit"

Unless you plan to go the LV at that time (or around that time and can change it to that date), you have the travel to LV, the costs associated, the bankroll and then the travel to the port/hotel plus port fees and taxes.

BTW, I know NCL expects you to gamble, I wonder if it reflects on CET play in any way?

 

Has anyone tried using the cruise offer for Christmas/New year Week? It would be worth it if that is not a blackout week.
