Hi everyone, I'm from the UK (London). My friend and I will be going to vegas in July for the first time.

We will be landing in L.A.X and driving to beverly hills and staying at the 4 seasons for the first night, (we land at night) the next morning we will be driving down to vegas in a chevy camaro.

We will be there for 9 days staying at the Bellagio Hotel. We are thrill seekers.

So far in terms of tourist attractions we have the following things planned to do:

    Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour
Night helicopter tour of the strip
    Hoover Dam
    Stratosphere + Jump
    Skydiving
    Zipwire
    Gun Range

And a few shows like David copperfield, penn and teller, etc.

In terms of the fun and nightlife:

we will be going to most of the bars/clubs and getting bottle service.
    Pool Parties
    Gambling.

    anything else you can recommend?

PS. I am also a magician (as you may have guessed)

Eat well! There are so many great restaurants on the strip that you shouldn't have to ever settle for average food - regardless of your budget or tastes.

Other than that, sounds like you have some great stuff planned.

Remember to pack the sunscreen and drink plenty of water. I don't imagine summers in London do much to prepare you for the inferno that is Vegas in July!

Welcome to the board and best of luck.

    Thanks everyone,

Yeah we were originally going to do 14 days but then thought 9 should be enough, and then for the other 5 days we will go to Arizona.

    Welcome Magician,

I'm an adrenaline junkie, too :) I highly recommend the Bootleg Canyon ziplines tour in the desert near Boulder City. These ziplines are much longer and higher than the small zipline on Fremont Street (also owned by the same company).

We did the BC Flightlines Sunset Tour in August 2011 and the daytime tour in December 2011. Each tour includes rides on four (different) long ziplines. There are incredible desert views, a great adrenaline rush, and tons of fun :woohoo: There's a bit of uphill hiking so proper shoes (sneakers, hikers) are required.

    Check it out:

Have a great trip and enjoy!

Don't get drunk on the plane over! I did that the first time I went over and man, I felt bad when we landed (and the entire next day).

Nine days is a long time in Vegas, so pace yourself. I did a week my first time (after 6 days in California) and I was spent at the end of it. I'd make sure you have at least one rest day in the middle, or at least not a day of getting hammered drunk.

    Have a great time.

    Welcome to the board.

Try to spend a little time downtown at night for the Freemont Experience.

You might also like to go hiking in Redrock Canyon. I agree about downtown one night just to check it out, completely different from the strip
