Coming to Vegas in July, am an avid fan of the current Canadian football Grey Cup champion B.C. Lions and don't want to miss a game while in Vegas. Have been in Vegas in the past and tried without any luck to catch a game in numerous locations including the espn zone at NYNY , Caeasars sportsbook etc. According to different people at these locations the casinos buy a satelite package which may or may not include the channel that carries the CFL feed. In a nutshell does anyone know where I could watch a CFL game ( the carrier would be TSN Canada ) , C'mon fellow Canucks help me out.

If you can't get the game at The Sporting Zone (at NYNY, formerly The ESPN Zone) then I would say prospects looks pretty bleak.

I did see some of the Grey Cup game at Luxor's sportsbook a couple of years ago, but then that was the championship and not a regular season game.

The only suggestion I actually have is: if you are up in your hotel room and you have internet access (and something to connect to the internet) you will be able to find the game on justin.tv

Sometimes you have to look around and check different channels for a decent quality feed, but there are a few out there... I've watched quite a few of the games on there when TSN does the regional blackout for the Lions' home games.

It's not a great sportsbook, but because Imperial Palace is usually dead, they have changed one of the screens to accomodate me before. I've also watched CFL in the MGM sportsbook, but a lot depends on what college games are playing on that certain day.

I like to bet the CFL. While in Vegas I've only watched games on my computer in my room.I'm not saying it's not on a TV in a sportsbook somewhere, it's just that I haven't seen it.

Didn’t the NFL Network carry a few CFL games last year? You might want to check out their website to see if they have any games scheduled for this year. Certainly, every sportsbook will have the NFL Network.

Otherwise, I’m guessing a laptop is your best bet.

I forgot the NFL Network showed some games last year. That will increase the chances of seeing it in a sportsbook or maybe on one of the TV channels in a room.

Last October, I was at the Las Vegas Hilton sportsbook watching the NLCS (damn Cardinals), and on one of the TVs was a CFL game... amidst a college FB and multiple hockey games.

The sound was on for baseball, but I was kind of impressed that the CFL was at least allowed some space on the TV wall.

A couple of times I went to the TSN site after the game was over and could watch it there on replay.

The great part is there are no ads, so you can see the whole game in a little over an hour and get back to gambling.

The bad part is you have to somehow get to the reply without seeing the score. I make Mrs. Flusher do this for me.

BTW, every now and again we yell at the TV "put in Paopao!"

The america one network used to carry cfl games a couple of years ago but i think they stopped now. Ive never seen a cfl game in my numerous trips to the sports book. Im heading to the Rio from up here in BC at the end of June ill ask if they know.

You won't know until the end of June when the CFL announces their US TV plan.

Anyone phoned/visited a book in advance to find out if they can/will show a game? Is that likely to provide useful information?

Get a hotel w/ internet access via Cox cable. I presume the MGM properties all use Cox. That will get you access to ESPN360 and they showed all of the games that the NFL Network didn't show last year. Worst case - you've got it in your room. If you've booked already, post your hotel and hopefully someone here knows whether their internet offers access to ESPN360.

I assume that you can't watch TSN.CA live if the CFL signs a US TV contract. Look for a Canadian flag on the reg. season games in the video player - that shows it's Canadian-only content. If you're computer-saavy, you can set up a proxy server @ home and connect to it so you're a "Canadian" watching the game. I use OpenSSH for the home server. Don't expect high speed video - between your slow uplink speed @ home and the potential congested download speed @ the hotel, expect lots of buffering delays. 1.5Meg up is a good minimum for your home internet package.

I've watched the TSN feed for hockey at the Mirage book (Apr. 2012). Warning: It could have been NHL Centre Ice. Not sure how they are at changing channels for customers w/o a betting slip. The Ti-Cats game is a Friday afternoon - lots of baseball games as competition for screen space. But the other three games should be OK.

Phone a soccer bar. Is there a Crown & Anchor in Vegas? Or some other British pub place that shows soccer. They all used to have Canadian satellite packages because that was the easiest way to get a good selection of games. Not sure that's true anymore.

Last suggestion - post on Riderfans board. If anyone knows how to catch a game in Vegas, it's got to be Riders fans.

Please let us know how it works out!
