I notice NYNY now has a promotion wherein those with 500 tier points get to spin a wheel for prizes. Anyone done so? Whats on the wheel? Thanks

You take your Players Club card over to the Players Club. They then check your points and put in the number of spins you have or what you want to use if you have tons. I used 50. Then, you go over to the wheel and scan your card and it loads in your spins. I believe top prize is $1M. More likely is a roller coaster ride, FP, discounts at restaurants, etc. I think its rigged though as 1-49 yielded nothing and then on 50 I won a roller coaster ride. At best it is a time killer or a nice break from losing.

I'm going to have to find this. I wonder if you can spin it with retro points. I mean I have about 200,000 TC's on my account now. Or do you have to earn the 500 TC's THAT day and THERE to do it.

Any points that are on your account. Some of mine were from 6 months ago.

I'm still a bit confused about this. I don't have any points as I used them all for point play. I do have over 3 million tier credits..........does that mean I can still get some spins?

My understanding is 1 spin per 500 points currently on your card. TC's are just garbage worth the same amount as garbage.

With my luck, if I spun that thing all I'd get would be coveted TR logos.

Oh thanks, that's too bad. I knew that TC's are garbage but I earned probably 7,000 points this past month. They're all gone as I always use them for point play when it gets to around 20 dollars worth. I wouldn't have used them so quick if I knew I had a shot a free roller coaster ride - haha.

I highly doubt thats how this works. Maybe someone that did it can clarify. You converted your slot points into free play. Those go away. But your tier credits should stay on there for a year and are only used to determine your ranking in the slot club. So if I have 200,000 TC right now, they should give me 40 free spins of the wheel BUT I should still have 200K TC when I am done.

I doubt they would knock me from Platinum to Sapphire because I spun the wheel.

Which brings me to my next question. Assuming my 200K in TC shouldnt be touched, what is stopping me from spinning the wheel 40 times, every day of my stay?

Well I went to NYNY and checked it out. It doesn't matter if you used your points for point play. It's not tier credits though, it is 500 points per spin. Any points that were earned at NYNY starting on May 1st are eligible. The problem is that even though I earned thousands of points in May......none of them were at NYNY so I didn't get any spins.

Good Work, this means I'm out of the running. There are hardly any games I play at NY NY, so even though I like the look of the casino I probably dont even have enough points for a spin.

And how fast do points accrue at MGM? How much cash thru (on normal machines - not the premium) a machine does it take to accrue one point? Is it different than CET?

Once I hit Plat again for the year on my next trip I may focus a bit of play MGMs way again to see if I can get back on the radar.
