HI, we usually stay at Mandalay Bay and the Aria when we visit Vegas. When I am in Vegas I usully hit all the casino's and play a bit in all of them. In regards to Bellagio, I think with all the trips combined, maybe $100 is the most I ever played there so I was very very surprised when I received the following offer:

    Bellagio Spring offer
3 nights in a luxerious suite
    300 f/b credit
    250 in free play

The offer expires at the end of June and we were not planning to go back to Vegas until August but now we are thinking of changing our plans.

Can you offer any reasoning why they would send me an offer like this with such little play? And what can I expect for the "luxerious suite", is that just there regular rooms? Or is it an actual suite?

    Thanks in advance :):)

most likely a salone suite, which isn't really a true suite in that there's no separate bedroom, but it's nice and bigger than a regular room. you can see it on the website.

nobody knows why they send out the offers they do, but when you get one that's way above what you really deserve, you don't ask questions, you just jump on it.

Depending on a few factors, you might get a similar offer later than June. Factors such as:

    - last time you played at MGM and theo (if not small plays since then, it is good)

    - your overall theo - higher is better of course. Bellagio may have seen your recent play at M-Bay and is tempting you to visit

    - Summer occupancy rates. If things are going slow (hot weather, cold visits), they they are more open to offers

Still, even your existing offer MIGHT not be available even in May or June. There are nights they apparently are full or almost full and and not going to give you a suite, or even a room. You can get an idea of this by checking out their rate calendar online.

Thanks everyone for your help on this.
I got more info from the host and indeed it is for a salone suite which will not work for us as we require two beds. What are my chances of upgrading to a 2 bedroom penthouse suite? if i booked via the hotel directly, it appears there is about $600 in total difference between the two suites for 3 nights.

i don't mind paying for the upgrade.

I emailed the host and just waiitng to hear back from him :)

Anyone stay in a penthouse suite? Are they as nice as they sound?

I too received an offer from Bellagio that was much higher than I would've expected from them. So maybe they are really just trying to get people in the door. I had to call to get my summer offer. It didn't show up on the MLife site, and I never got an email. So you very well may have an available summer offer too.

Take the offer, it is a good one. As shifter said, it will be a salone suite "if available" which it probably won't be. It might if you check in on Monday or Tuesday. Your chances of getting this upgraded to a 2 br penthouse are zero, but you could certainly get a 2 bedded fountain view standard room. It is still a great deal given practically no play at the B.

    Take the suite/sweet offer.

Then book a one bedroom room as well at the normal rates. When you check in, they will try to get the rooms next to each other for you.

As said, getting a true 2 br is not gonna happen. They might even figure out you should not be getting the suite in the first place.

no chance in getting an upgrade to a 2BR Pent. if you want that, you need to book it on the website and pay the $700-800/night. the comp value on that room is $1200/night minimum, so that's an incredible deal. the comp value on the salone suite is around 300/night, so if an upgrade were offered it would be based on those 2 numbers and would be 900/night, which is more than you can just book it for on the website.

in order to get a 2BR Pent comped, you generally need a 50k CL and 2k avg bet minimum 4 hours per day.

reading shifters reply above, made me think of a question.

The rate for 2br might be $7-800 and the comp rate is $1200.
So if you are getting a comped room, it is valued at MORE than booking rate?
I thought it was the other way around, please advise.

absolutely. the thing about the comp value on rooms is it's fixed 365 days of the year. retail rates go up and down with availability/demand/etc. often the comp value is way higher than you can actually book the room for if demand is low for that timeframe and they're trying to offload the room/suite.

on the other hand other times the comp value is much less. for example, at the Skylofts and Mansion the comp value of the lofts/villas is usually far less than you could actually book one for retail.

So how can you find out what the comp value of the room is. I'm staying in a Bellagio lake view renovated room and was wondering what the comp value is.

Thanks everyone for your help. I have booked the offer and good that I did as when I go on to the Bellagio website it appears they are sold out now of salone suites for the time period of my stay (June 21st to 24th). Just booked the airfare which i must say was the most I paid to get to Vegas. I booked with Allegiant out of Bellingham. Usually we pay about $150-$250 but this time with their carrier bag fees plus super high return flights on Sunday ($190 -$240) we paid close to $330 round trip. its still way cheaper than flying out of Vancouver or Seattle but still expensive for a discount carrier.

I'm very excited, this will be my first time staying at the Bellagio and with the $300 resort credit, i'm hoping to eat at a nice restaurant. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Only 4 weeks to go :)

Did they guarantee the salone suite or tell you they would put you in one if available?

You can call... But I would bet it is a salone suite

    And

No matter they say today, it can change by Chechen day based on availability
