I like the M Resort scent. Smells fresh and clean.

Flamingo essence reminds me of old lady talcum
    powder. :nono:

Why do both Circus Circus and Excalibur smell like an old shoe? :faint:

I tend to like the scents. I think the Venetian's could be scaled back a tad. Some of my buddies think MB's is a little too strong, but it doesn't bother me.

Many of the newer strip hotels have a very distinctive smell--surprised not everyone notices this.

The most noticeable, in order of my personal preference:

    Mandalay Bay
    Bellagio
    Aria
Mirage (though it is not as distinct as it used to be as age takes over)
    Venetian

If I smelled the odor of any one of these places somewhere else, I would immediately associate it with the property in question.

There is a generic "casino" smell which is of course mostly smoke.

Years ago, Mandalay Bay sold a room spray called "Scent of Mandalay Bay" which worked very well and lasted a long time. I haven't seen it for sale for quite some time, but then again I haven't looked.

Venetian definitely has an aroma to it... it doesn't bother me, but it really gives my wife a headache... to the point we can't go in there together. The newer Palazzo side doesn't seem as bad and she can at least play some blackjack in there with me.

The other casinos here do have a distinct odor, some combination of floral/vanilla and smoke, along with body odor, spilled beer, and fresh air to swirl it around a little.

I am also partial to the smell in Aria for whatever reason - it's relaxing... very subliminal.

Flamingo is definitely my favorite. Even though the Venetian scent is very strong, I still love it. O'Shea's was a bit nasty.

In the Home Store of the Wynn/Encore they sell a small little set that has the bamboo rods and comes with a little scent jar. I think it was about $40 for the set. No idea what a refill bottle would cost.

A bit pricey but I bought one and it certainly is a nice scent and reminiscent of the hotels.

Aria is my favorite for sure. I want my home to smell and read they sell the sticks but are really expensive. I was looking for the oil things you plug into the wall. If anyone knows of a scent that smells just like it let me know!!

I love the M resort smell and the Flamingo. Every once in a while I will get a whiff of the Flamingo smell and it makes me want to be there. The Orleans also has a distinctive smell.

I used to LOVE the smell when you first walked thru the door at the Mirage but MGM changed that just like they did everything else in the place.

Love the smell at Wynncore and MB....can not stand the weird smell at Venetian/Palazzo...that whole place creeps me out in general....the rooms have this gawdy kind of a Victorian look/feel and the casino to me is drab but new..kind of like the Luxor on steroids:rolleyes2:

I have a buddy who was an installer for the company in Charlotte that builds all the machines for 90% of the hotels in the world that use the scent injection through HVAC. He was in Vegas every week working on or installing new machines. The scents were nuts that he gave me. He installed a tire smoke smell in Disney's Epcot GM car ride. They even installed a POT smell in a tattoo shop. He told me the casinos have giant meetings and develop their signature scents for each season. I have smelled some like the a Trop and though wow this groups sniffer is broken!

The Encore has the best scent in my opinion. It is just crying out for a candle to be made of it.

I agree. It's the best smelling hotel in Las Vegas.

Yeah. That scent is very alluring. Same as walking into the Wynn from the Promenade. The strongest is passing the garden heading towards the casino by the mirror.

Don't like the scent at the Palazzo. I second I smell it I get light headed for a short moment.

The M Resort as well for me. Those Easter Lillies are awesome, you smell em as soon as you walk in the door, and it doesn't smell like an ashtray.

The El Cortez has a very interesting stench. The Cabana Suites smell great, but the ElCo's casino smells like a skunk crawled up a dead strippers ass and died.

The Tropicana smells good, the vanilla-coconut smell.

Most smell really smokey, but that is what a casino is supposed to smell like.
