This will be our first time skipping Halloween in many years, since it falls on Thursday. Last year it fell on a Monday and was a fraction of the activity as when it's on a weekend.

    Halloween

that is a fun time, but keep in mind it is the sema show and there are a lot of people People do get into dressing up and fun to see. What is even crazier is the next morning when the "all nighters" are still dressed and still drinking!
be sure to see the conservatory at Bellagio for the fall display

...and full-face concealing make-up. My friend has greenish-white make-up while dressed as the girl from Exorcist. She was barred from Binions and Golden Nugget. Had to remove it and really upset her.

There is the Fantasy & Fetish Ball at the Hard Rock on 10/27. Even if you don't attend, we didn't, it was enjoyable watching them parade around. http://www.halloweenball.com/

Last year there was a parade through downtown on Halloween evening which was less than exciting, but we enjoyed the "colorful characters" at FSE.

In addition, there were a couple of tribute bands playing at FSE.

As mentioned previously, the Fall display at Bellagio is always worth a visit:
