Confusion with Mlife

Today I got an another stupid offer from the Aria offering me 79 dollars a night during the week and 150 free play. I say to myself I will never pay for a room and last time I was in Vegas I gave them alot of cash. I decided to send an email to player development and ask what I did to deserve to get such awful offers from them as well as MGM corporate offers. I said the only one I get any free rooms from is the Bellagio. He responded with the below info. It really confuses me that when I send an email to 2 properties to date and ask why my play does not rate they offer free rooms and free play and with the bellagio some food credit. It really seems that their whole offer scenario is way off. Anyone get similar love when they send an email?

We base all of our offers on the amount of points you average over an 18 month period at all of our properties. Since we have several casinos in Las Vegas , we try to send you the same promotion with the same amount of FreePlay from each property. Sometimes it doesn’t always work out that way but we try to be as consistent as possible. Please give me a call, or shoot me an email, when you are ready to visit Las Vegas and I’ll reserve you on the best possible promotion. I am sorry for the lousy offer but let me know and I’ll book you a beautiful room complimentary with FreePlay.

 

forget the offers, dude, and just book through this host or others like him. some people get offers that are way above what they deserve and others get offers that are way lower. my offers suck, too, but who cares because i don't use them. it doesn't do you any good to guess why the offers suck, just take advantage of a host who's willing to help.

 

You are right. I just get curious as the whole system really fascinates me and I really wonder how they work things.

 

shifter is right on. Hell, the guy who took the time to email you seemed sincere as it gets for Vegas. Why not give him the courtsey of your business and see what he can do?

My offers aren't much better than anyone else's. I got a mailer from MB for RFB including resort credit of $2000. My last trip to Aria about two weeks ago I used rougly $18,000 in primary comps and left the place with another $10,000 in express comps added to my balance which were untouched.

Make friends with a host, act honorably, do what you say, and they will too, everytime.

 

I am not in your guys Stratosphere you guys are big time. I am more of a small fry playing slots(1-10 dollars a spin for 15-40k thru depending on how things go) and some minor table games.(25-200 depending on luck) I usually have a bank roll of 3-4k for 3 days. I am usually just getting a a free room. I really spread myself to thin all over the place. I have a Gold Mlife, Platinum Harrahs and a Gold Identity(Platinum by Upgrade) and 3rd tier Palms cars I forget the name. I only want to be treated fairly in my opinion. I just get annoyed by those stupid emails for 79 dollar weekday rooms as I just feel like they are really under valuing me.

 

I hear you, honestly. But prior to that host responding to you, he looked you up and saw what he could do. Take him up on it. They can almost always do more once your on property. As for spreading yourself thin, I also play elsewhere, but honestly think I would be better keeping my action at one place; which you might want to try, then you could get even better comps!

 

All of this is so confusing.
My play over the last 18 months (3 trips, 11 days total) was $656K coin in on slots 100%.
How do the casinos calculate your expected loss on slots? 3 reel slots, non specialty, not vp. Or WHAT is the expected loss on these slots?

 

on the other end of the spectrum, i went to visit a friend staying at aria in the summer of 2010. signed up for a card and ran around $200-$250 through some slots (lost about $40). started getting offers for $79 a nite mid week. couldn't take advantage due to schedule, etc. Got a winter offer for comp nights out of left feild and it lined up with our travel dates so we stayed (february 2012). i'm pretty low roller and in the 2 days at aria, ran about $3000 through the slots (lost $450) and played craps a couple of times on a $10 table. didn't even bother to give my players card at the craps table as i was only playing small. a couple of weeks later we start getting more comp offers for Aria (at least 3 seperate offers). we're booked for a couple of comp nights in august($50 freeplay). my friend who stays a couple of times a year and plays a "lot" more than me is not getting comp offers recently. his offers are $79-$99 a night. talk about confusing!! oh well! i'll let him know about the email response from aria. he should go this route as well! god info. good luck!

 

theo is mainly used for table players. coin-in is the usual metric for slots players. and 60k coin-in per day is pretty stout play. you should be RFB anywhere you want with that kind of play.
