What is acceptable in the clubs as far as dress wear for 22yr old male college students ? Nice expensive jeans, new white shoes and polo button down long sleeve ? Or dress pants, dress shoes and the button down? Going in a week! Any help would be great

short answer: Nice clothes, dress shoes

Most clubs aren't going to let you in the door with sneakers on

Sneakers are usually a no-no unless you've got a huge amount of cash sticking out of them.

As far as jeans vs. dress pants... go in whatever you will feel more comfortable/confident in.

...if you go with dress pants I would stick to a grey/black/dark and not go for khaki.

100% no sneakers. yea nice jeans and button down is probably good. They want you to look clean cut, and put together, like you are gonna spend some money! Overall guys need to kick it up a notch.

A few weeks ago we were walking through Mandalay Bay and someone offered us passes to Foundation room and they told my guy friend he couldn't come in his sneakers, he was all offended haha (we weren't going there anyways though but it was funny)

yes, where what you want but min dress shoes and collar shirt to get in.

Its vegas and I like to go all out, nice tie, shoes, etc.

Just dont wear what you would to work and you will be fine.

    Tie isnt necessary.

Theyre not going to check the brand name of your jeans. You can go in new nice dark jeans thats $25. Dark long sleeve dress shirt $25. Black dress shoes $30.

You'll look like most other guys getting in the clubs. As long as its presentable and that combo, you're good to go.

What is your budget for the night, per person?

    That determines almost everything.

The only bit I'd challenge is the shirt. My friends think I'm stupid for spending $200 on a shirt when they spend $50, but they walk out of the club covered in sweat and I walk out looking normal (which I didn't used to in cheaper shirts).

Clubs are very hot and better quality material helps a lot.

Oh, and girls can tell cheap shoes from a hundred paces.

Good post!! The shoes for a single guy can be a deal breaker depending on the girl. I'm not a single guy but definitely notice at the clubs girls do look at the shoes you are wearing, ya cant make a pair of District 9 into a pair of Brunos :evillaugh

Very easy to work with this amount.

To start, recognize all of the better clubs will be way more expensive for drinks (even water is $8), so you are going to want to pre-drink hard enough to have a good time but not too much you won't get in.

Secondly, a lot of the better clubs will not allow a group of guys to come in. That's part of what makes them 'better' - the ratio of women to men is like 60/40 which is why guys are willing to pay so much to get in.

    Here are your options:
    1. Go very early to a Tier 2 club: PURE, LAX, Moon, Gallery, Haze, Lavo. When I say earlier I mean 10pm. Honestly this is probably your best bet and it's easiest. Tier 2 doesn't mean bad, far from it, it just means it's not THE hottest nightclub in vegas; will still be rammed.

    2. Find a host willing to do an escorted line skip at a tier 1 club - say at Tryst or Haze. Lots of hosts for $20 per person will walk your group to the front of the line and make sure you get in, then you'll still need to pay $20 or so for cover.
