Was playing at a local casino today.

Was dealt KA10 Clubs with a K Diamonds.

Held the two kings (which is the right hold on JoB) and got JQ clubs on the draw.

Luckily, I came out ahead for the day after switching to Joker's Wild.

For me it was actually getting a royal flush on a $1 machine. Unfortunately I only had $1 bet and not the $5 max. I won $250 vs $4000. To this day that is still the only royal flush I've ever had.

Was playing a $1 sequential royal machine years ago in Lake Charles, La. $50,000 payoff for seq royal. No luck.

Went to a different bank of machines. Dealt 4 to the royal. Picked up the QS to complete it for $4,000. Stared at it... sequential. Oops!

Addendum: Huge traffic jam on I-10 on the way back toward Houston in the early morning hours. Hurricane Katrina was coming in. Got out just in time.

    Another uncomfortable moment.......

I sat down at the quarter 10/7 DB progressive at 4 Queens. Was only playing a few minutes when a lady in her 70's sat two seats to my right. She was friendly enough, but lost no time telling me that I was playing "her machine", and that I better not hit "it", because she had been playing there for two days, and "it was due".

Within a few minutes, I was dealt 4TR. Completed it for the progressive -- just over $1115. No W2.

If looks could kill, I would have been dead within seconds.

Very uncomfortable situation. Cashed out. Walked out without looking back.

My favorite trick is Aces with kicker on Deuces Wild.

I was just going to post this. Nothing worse than getting a fat 4 for 1 payout for AAAA3.
