    My Trip Report

It time to begin another Gaggles adventure? Casing aside all good judgement and common sense, I am going solo to Vegas on Saturday. This trip was originally supposed to include a guy whose name rhymes with Veejay but he wimped out choosing career and family over a trip with Gaggles! That just shows a complete lack of character and, in my opinion, messed up priorities.

So without further adieu I will advise/warn all of you that it will be me hitting the town and arriving (if Allegiant is on time) at 8:30 this Saturday. I am choosing to go old school and stay at Bally's over all other CET properties. I would have arranged to stay at a MGM property but I am low rolling this trip and don't wanna ruin any future goodwill.

I did get a pleasant surprise by calling a host at the Bellagio (by Beejay) to try and get a room and I was told he could do 4 nights! Methinks I have been low balling myself recently as I am comped at Mirage in August and now Bellagio. CET may be losing a customer if I can stay at these two properties with MGM thrown in from time to time. If only MGM had Diamond Lounges, CET might never see another penny!

    The pressure is building.....

Go visit Po, the bartender down in the ballys sports book. He's an awesome bartender and really funny too. If I ever post our trip report, you'll see we spent a lot of time with Po.

    Have a great trip.

My brother stopped driving to Montana from Calgary to catch an Allegiant. He said it's just too hard and flies WestJet now.

Thankfully, I live in Vancouver and Allegiant is only 20mins from the border.

I'm thinking about ditching CET too. Doing a solo trip at the end of May and I might be giving them some of my play.

Just got a text from a friend who is drinking at the MGM Villas with some of his associates who are down there for an annual hockey tournament. These associates are of rather substantial means. I am hoping to meet up with them when I land Saturday night. I am going to pray to the airline gods that Allegiant is on time for this one as I am already arriving a little late (8:30 pm) from my usual flight times.

I had forgotten about this annual trip that I used to be part of which was affectionately called "The Millionaires Trip". All of a sudden I am a bit more excited than I was 24 hours ago......

Okay we are less than 24 hours until I land but I am waiting to pack until the am. I texted my buddy with the millionaires and they still do not have a plan for Saturday. I am still debating moving over to Caesars from Ballys. I know some of you must be thinking how is that even a debate when it is free but I havent stayed at Ballys for a long time and I seem to start at Sullyès 75% of the time I go to Vegas anyways. While the North Tower at Ballys will never be confused with an Augustus room, they are big enough to build a fort with the couches and beds.

I have good memories of Ballys every time I stay there and thoe memories have nothign to do with me waking up the last time I stayed there and realizing I ahd ordered 24 hours of consecutive porn on one of the channels when I was drunk!

Going out tonight for some pre-game warm up drinks but I am not going to make the rookie mistake of gettign drunk the night before a Vegas trip. Perhaps if I was under 25, but with a 4 day trip ahead of me...drunk tonight would be a monumental lack of judgement.

Although it can be argued that anyone who goes to Vegas to gamble lacks a lot that.....

Hello everyone! This is gaggles live to you from the Paris Diamond Lounge! The place is packed and there are chicken wing bones everywhere from all us Diamond players that just gotta have those free chicken wings we pay so much for over the year to get.

I haven't gambled all day or had a drink so I am gonna try and make this quick. Arrived at Bally's checked in around 6ish. Allegiant actually got us into Vegas about 20 minutes early. Hard to believe I know. My room is on the 19th floor and the nostalgia of Bally's rooms is wearing off quickly as I have a view of Ellis Island and the monorail. The room is nice and big in the North Tower but the bed just aint that great. At check in I tried to schmooze a mini suite but the hotel was full. I tried again today but host was busy. I said f+ck it and cancelled my reservation for next two days and I am crossing the street to a comped Augustus room for the next two days. Now let's talk some gambling shall we....

I sat down at Sully's Bar after powdering my nose. It was 8ish and Donny and company were just startign their shift. In fact, he poured my first drink for me. And then the second, and the third..and so it went.

I started out with DDBP at the .50 level as I have to manage bank roll for bday trip in May. Right out of the chute I popped quad 6's (okay I was down to $17.50 from my first $100) and later popped some quad 5's both times for a little $124 hit to keep me going. But as fate would have it, I gave it back but I literally must have had 10 Goose and soda's. Played atleast 90 minutes though and had a good time. My gf texted and wanted to make sure I said hi to Donny for her. To which I did and then asked him "Why do all the girls that have been to Vegas with us over the past 5-6 years always want me to make sure I say hi to you? Is there something I should know?" We had a nice chuckle.

Being drunk, it was a good time to get in a poker game. The room was a little slow with only 4 tables going so I got on the list. A new table started up and it was on.

Buying in on 8 spot was a guy I took an immediate dislike to. He is the "big buy in" guy and his whole demeanor just screamed speeder and idiot. Before I left the table my quick read was confirmed.

This guy was a brutal player and I was glad to have him. He raised everything constantly. And apparently he hit every flop. I could not wait to lay a trap for him and it came rather quickly. In late position he raises to $15. I had limped with a K10. 4 callers to me and I am priced in plus I think I am ahead of him anyway. Oh, he was also on his second buy in and steaming. Flop was KK10. Thank you! I check the flop of course, another speeder takes a stab at it and I eventually scooped a nice pot.

That was the only really big hand I had that hit other than a flopped set of 6s. My reads were perfect and not off once. I also took a big pot down with 9-10 on a A-10-rag board when I caught a guy bluffing. I just knew and he payed me off. After about 2.5 hours I cashed out with a $460 profit.

Had I not snuck away to dump $200 in the high limit room this would have been an even better start. And when on a solo trip...why am I sneaking anywhere...?? Old habits of trying to hide from Macker and Big Sack when we are all playing poker. I gotta stay away from the HL bathroom!

I get a text from my friend who I will call Mr. Fun. The millionaires are tired and just chilling at the MGM villas. No club, no bottle service, no nothing. I am invited to join but would prefer to gamble. I'm sure it would have been cool to see how the other half lives but...next time.

Mr. Fun arrives at Bally's and has never ever been top Cosmo. Off we go...

We are just lit up and the walk over to Cosmo does us some good. As always, the place is packed with fabulous looking people. I do so love it here. Because I had only had about 15 drinks we hit the bar tops for more.

Now although it is only about 11, things are already starting to get blurry. Still playing responsibly I see from my phone that I hit quad 5s on .50 and then quad aces only holding 2 aces. I am not gonna lie, I kill quad aces but I am in a "Royal Flush Death Valley" the last year. I see from my phone that I took my $100 up to $450. For the record, I have no idea what I cashed out with or if I even cashed out at all. It was that messy. And did I ever consider ordering a water? No. No I did not.

With serious fear for my life and head in the morning..we lurched to Earl of Sandwich for the best sandwiches in the world. A meal I would forget I even ate in about an hour.....

I think we hit bar tops at PH as well and had more drinks. But I cannot be sure. I seem to recall the Heart Bar or sports bar....

I do recall $1 Progressives at Paris though. And that leads us to our next story....

Which will be continued tomorrow dear readers and Vegas degenerates as I am getting the stink eye from someone who wants on the internet.

I will say this...I am up for the trip right now on some more big DDBP hits and of all carny games..Mississippi Stud????

Okay you guys we are live from the Caesars Diamond Lounge! Moved over this morning and have a nice view of the Bellagio in teh Augustus tower. This trip has gone south as usual and I have only played dollars on JOB. And I was dealt 444A for $125 instead of the usual $800 I would normally get on DDBP!

Busy here and lots of people waitign to get on the computer so I'm gonna be courteous and let them on. Having a drink and then will try to get another update in.

He may be visiting churches in Vegas; I hear the wifi sucks in them but the stained glass windows are stunning. I also hear that cocktail service isn't bad either if you don't mind really cheap wine! Of course I'll never know since all of my praying in Vegas takes place in the Casino or while nursing a really bad hangover. I could stake my bankroll for my next trip if I could just have $1 for every time I've said "Oh God, get me out of this one and I swear I'll never do <insert promise I can't keep here> again while in Vegas.
