Finally got over to Ellis Island to try the steak special, (which was great).

Checked in with Foursquare and found out they have a buy one get one when you show your offer to the slot club.

Two dinners specials for 7.99, can't be beat.

    Steveorama,

    Thanks for posting the jpg.

I was trying to remember if it was for anything on the menu, looks as if it was.

Lot's of Foursquare specials this trip. Some ok or really good, some just ads, (especially the ones from CET). :nworthy:

    Thanks for this.
Will have to try it out as I'm going to be eating there for the first time every in the next month or so when friends come to visit.

The CET buffets have $5 off coupons on foursquare.

Now for big question - I don't have a web based phone - I do have a wifi notebook which I don't really want to carry while dining. Do you think I can take a picture of the coupon and display it on my cheap cell phone and that would be accepted?

Problem is, you need to "check in". To do that you would need to do that at the actual location. You can always try. Good luck and have a good trip.

But I'm over 2000 miles from Las Vegas, and I'm able to check-in now via chrome and qualify for Social Rewards at all the CET properties? I think if you change your location in foursquare that's all that needed - I could be wrong.

Also for CET properties I've read if you text LVYES to to 227466
    you get:
Bills Victorian Cafe 2 for 1 entree
2 for 1 drinks at Harrahs and Rio
$5 off entree at Toby Keith's
2 for 1 burgers at Burger Palace @ IP
2 for 1 Eiffel Tower tickets
    2 for 1 Jubilee tickets
15% off spa service at Bally's

I haven't verified this but the coupons are supposed to be good for 4 days.

Not really. If you just use the mobile app you can check in, get deals and still not share the info with anyone.

    Thanks Anton

I dont really know what a mobile app is ,I'm guessing its something from a blackberry type phone ,but I somehow survived to age 66 without knowing a lot of these things so I suppose I'm over the hump or the hill whatever.
Thanks again ,I'll go nuts and spring for the extra $7.99.
