I can't remember who suggested this because I've had too many of them, but...

Vodka Collins is my new favorite drink. I just poured myself into the elevator because I shouldn't have another one. :)

    Thanks for the recommendation. :drunk:

Try a Caipiroska. It's vodka, sugar and crushed ice with a lime slice. If made right, it's delicious. They can be fairly terrible if made badly though. If the bar doesn't have a blender for the ice then it's not worth bothering.

Yes! I remember now. Thanks for the suggestion, Kelly. They were good. Except for the weird one that came carbonated. :rolleyes2:

    re: Caipiroska

Wigwam, one of the requirements of any drink I consume in Vegas is that I need to be able to pronounce it after 4-5 of them. I'm not sure I could manage that one sober. It's got an extra "i" in it or something. :wink2:

Now.. off to figure out what that stupid noise is that has kept me up all night.

Hope you still love them the next morning

Myself ,I drink my "hard stuff" on the rocks or straight. I dont like any kind of mixers ,I drink "quality" scotch which I would never ad anything that would ruin the taste or give me a nasty headache the next day. I blame the bartenders for keep filling up my glass,LOL.

I tend to just slur out cap-ya-ros-ka. Actually, I have been known to order vodka with sugar and ice if I am particularly incapacitated and let the barman figure it out.

It's a Tom Collins made with Vodka instead of Gin.

That is also my favorite drink. However they are not all created equal in Vegas. I've had some of the lousiest ever in Vegas. Alas my favorite casino (MGM) can't seem to make a good one even if they put top tier vodka in it. (I've given up there, and now just order an Amaretto Sour, which they do well).

Grey Goose and cranberry. Do NOT be fooled by "vodka" and cranberry: they'll serve you the stuff the just distilled out back (107 Lounge at the Stratosphere :grrr:)

Which, in my opinion, is unfortunate. Gin is a beautiful thing.

Can you get free Long Island or Sex on the Beach drinks when gambling? Or just your basic drinks?
