We stick with the higher end places and they can always do something. They just tweak the dishes or swap some out if we're doing a tasting menu. But it's a real bitch sometimes to find a quick snack somewhere.

Wow what an incredible come back, I could literally feel your relief when you talked about ripping up your markers! Glad you didn't go home in the hole :)

Fortunately I have not made myself sick. It's never fun to lose, but if it's money you came to play with -- it shouldn't come as a surprise!

What do people spend express comps on? Everyone on here seems to talk about them going up and not down. I don't understand why you'd want to accumulate as many as possible.

I hate giving it back when you've been on a heater that's for sure! That's why during Baccarat I usually have a rule where if you lose a certain number of hands in a roll, or a clear 3-1 or 2-1 losers vs. winners, you should take a break....but I know it is SOOO hard.

The Mansion at MGM is great, especially the pool, there's nobody there! Although one complaint I have is that they totally overcharge you in the restaurant and spa in there....

I will be at Bellagio and MGM this weekend, so looking forward to reading about how the vibe is at the MGM this time....

    Great report so far!

Yeah the prices are absurd. $16 for a glass of OJ or $30 for a Mimosa, etc. But yet we still managed to keep f&b comps exceptionally low this trip somehow. Not really sure how that all worked out. But I love a trip where everything is picked up, I get to keep all my ECs and pick up cash for airfare after all of that. Can't beat it!

I've never stepped foot in the place, but high prices for dining and spa services don't come as a surprise to me... not when you are in those digs!! Are we talking like $25 for a baked potato or other sides?

Yeah that banker run would have been good for at least 4M for you. Wish you were there!

    Wow. Just. Wow.

And what a nice thing to do, picking up all the bar tabs at Wolfgang's. Good karma all around.

I remember when a gentleman picked up my son & my tab for our meal during game 7 of the world series last year (big Cardinals fan here). When the National Anthem was playing on tv, my son removed his Cardinal hat. The gentleman was retired career military and quickly noticed my son was the only one in the room who had removed cover. It was a wonderful gesture, and you can bet we won't forget it for the rest of our lives.

    Good for you!

Love reading reports like this even though I can't relate to those kinds of numbers. $65,000 up to $70,000 down?? Big for me would be more like $650 up or $700 down. And just happening to remember that you had $4,000 in your pocket that you probably wouldn't be needing for tips? Again, remove two zeroes!

That's what I was thinking (though it's all relative)... until I read THIS trip report! Thus far my ups/downs have been no more than ~25 grand from my starting point... that's about my tolerance (limit of entertainment) - well, in the DOWN direction at any rate !! ;)

Personally I would constitute free stay in the mansion, meals, flight, limo, and golf tournament, and a round of meals at the bar as "winning" when the gambling breaks even.

and just to think! I get frustrated, just losing $1,000 a day! I couldn't imagine playing at that level, although I still have a host, but no phantom, no mansion, no butler service....<sighing> aaawww well I'm content with what we do receive. Without a doubt you have to be "Noir" level! BTW what an unselfish awesome thing you did, in taking care of everyone's meal! You give good Karma you Get good Karma! I enjoyed the read.

So here's what I happened to be listening to when I read through the days:

Day 1 - Landing and getting in to room: B.o.B. So Good
Day 1 - Gambling: DJ Khaled remix of: All I do is win (added cut out halfway through for effect)
Day 2 - Walk around: Cobra Starship You make me feel so
Day 3 - Golfing: Nelly Hot in Herre
Day 3 - The gamble early: Puddle of mudd Blurry
Day 3 - The Comeback: Lonely Island I just had sex

Holy hell, is that one hell of a banker shoe. I want to say that Ive been close to that type of comeback, but I play about a 2% scale to you, but I know how you feel. Great job brother!
