I'm not sure I like the idea of you having access to the board from NFI. :haha:

Thanks for the update. I'll change the first post.

    Some corrections to your list:

LV Hilton, about a year ago had free wi fi at Fortuna, but that is no longer free.

The post lists all the casino locations of chains, like Starbucks, but please note, many of the non Starbucks owned locations, such as the shops inside casinos, are not owned by Starbucks, and do NOT offer free WiFi. Golden Nugget is one example. I can tell you for sure there is no free WiFi there. If you note, other directories of free WiFi do not mention several of the locations of chains posted here. The reason is, they do not offer free WiFi.

PS - I did a search on the Starbucks website for LV locations with WiFi and none of the in casino locations are listed as having WiFi.

There seem to be more and more places that have an unsecured router but do not advertise. Just happened to see a guy in the waiting area of a garage where my truck was being worked on. brought my laptop next trip and it was nice to pass the time. I brought it into a chinese restaurant last week....figured I could always watch a DVD or play solitaire, and there was access to the net.

Last year at my trade show at the LV Convention Center one of the suppliers provided internet access for the show. When I sat down to check my email I noticed that there were several places available all accessible without passwords from other shows. There are many places in the lvcc to sit and get online if you are somewhere nearby and want to check your email, etc.

Thanks, zignerlv. I made the changes. I was told that there was wifi in all the starbucks. Sorry for that misinformation. Please let me know if you see other info that is incorrect or additions that need to be made.

Jimbo, I have a thing on my phone that tells me when there is wi-fi. I've been surprised by how many locations around here now have it.

South Point has free WiFi in at least parts of the casino. I've used it at the bar closest to registration.

    FREE wifi near PH Resort?

I just read no more FREE wifi at the Cosmopolitan, I planned on taking advantage of that lol

Any other places near the PH where there is FREE wifi?

I know a coffee shop does but its not really FREE because you have to buy something, which is fair enough.

    But any spots?

I used the wifi at Starbucks all the time and never bought anything. As long as you're close to the store, you'll get a signal. I think Urban Outfitters just outside the casino in the Miracle Mile Shops has free wifi too, but it's really close to Starbucks, so really, either one works.

I'll be staying at the Marriott Grand Chateau just across Harmon from PH. They offer wifi for guests, I can't remember if they issue a password or are unsecured. I do recall that when we stayed there last time there were many signals detected in the immediate area. I think there is a McDonalds nearby that also offers free wifi. There were at least a half dozen signals detected, keep trying until you find an unsecured signal.
