Flying out of SLC on Sunday. Sister in law just had a baby, so I will visit them prior to the flight.

America west flight (98.00), Thrifty rental for 4 days (89.00 total) and 4 nights at the lovely Lady Luck. I only paid for the first night, and may switch to GN after the first night. Orbitz has it for less than sixty a night.

Mikey has decided we should try Binion's steak house Sunday night after he gets done working. Monday morning I wanna play in the hold 'em tourney at the GN. We will find the closest circuit city or whatever to get Mikey a cable modem. That way we can get speedier news from the man.

I depart Thursday around noon. Besides having to make an appearance at the convention center on Wednesday at three, my week is pretty open. I imagine Mikey and I *may* have some fun.

Almost forgot! A buddy of mine is a dj here in town and has asked that I call the show Wednesday morning so I can present the Vegas trivia question. He is doing a 'time machine' centered around Vegas with Elvis and old Rat Pack tunes. I will call while sitting next to a slot machine and will have either a cocktail waitress or dealer (Mikey) get on the show for flavor.

Any suggestions for a trivia question?

Just a thought I had after reading your post...might not be that easy for the average person who doesn't hang around this place with all us Vegas Junkies....

Yeah, for the non-Vegas junkie (aka non-T2V'er) that would be a good question. Another possibility is which hotel/casino was built by Bugsy Siegel. But in all honesty, I like Ross' question better [IMG]

Actually bazootch I thought you dedicated to me. I am a DIE HARD Rusty Wallace fan. You should see my work office and home office - everything RW and #2. I'm so sad it is his last year of racing but glad that he is out of it since a lot of those "young guns" and "others" drive way too crazy for me lately.

    Cheers!

My Wife and I are leaving Sunday, from SLC on America West and staying downtown at the Golden Nugget. We don't leave until the afternoon though. Small World.

Sounds like a GREAT time planned!! Can't wait for the review of Binion's steak house--if it's decent, I can add it to my list of downtown "gourmet" rooms to try out! Congrats on the new nephew/niece too [IMG] FYI, if you're a Costco member, there's one close to I-15 & downtown and they probably have cable modems--I know ours does here.

If you really want to mess with a NASCAR driver, just make a right hand turn. It will blow them away!

Or, what was the first Las Vegas casino that Bugsy Siegel owned?

    NASCAR, trivia.....

Maybe something about the racing facilities in Las Vegas might be an idea....

The current new facility is the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where they have the NASCAR races and so on.

Before that, though, the track in town was known as the Las Vegas International Speedway:

    LVIS

    Get it? [IMG]

Gosh, I sure can't find much about it online, though -- I don't even know where the thing was.

    Oh, and here's another one:

Las Vegas Motor Speedway was built by the late Ralph Engelstad, owner of the Imperial Palace, and Bill Bennett of the Sahara....

Thanks Baz, I was hoping it might bring him some luck this past weekend. Really love to see that checkered flag for him one more time before he retires.

Hope you're having better luck in Vegas [IMG]
