Smoking in Vegas

  1. Hi! Just returned from LV. Booked a flight/hotel combo package with
    www.worryfreevacations.com

It was a fair deal with a good flight & hotel, etc....I would use wfv again. We had absolutely NO problem with this travel agency.

We are all non-smokers and I have a bad allergy to smoke. We asked the hotel for a non-smoking room. No where in or around the room was it so designated NON-SMOKING though (?)

We had a nice time, though NO ONE in our group came out ahead $. :(

When we returned home, all of our clothes (& suitcases!) smelled like smoke, even the ones
we never took out of the suitcase. We separated the dirty laundry from the clean, in a separate suitcase and still, they all smell the same. YUCK! :(

Does anyone know if TRUE non-smoking hotel rooms are available on the strip? How about in LV, ANYWHERE???

What hotel did you stay at? Depending on what hotel you stay at, this situation may or may not occur, also depending on where you go during your stay. If you spent most of your time in a crowded, smoky casino, then you shouldn't be surprised.

There could be many things that come into play here:

Someone could have smoked in the room, even though it was a non-smoking room.

It may have been a smoking room at one point, and then re-designated as a non-smoking room.

Even though there weren't clothes you had worn, they may have been intermingled with your clothes from the casino.

Probably less likely, but in the airplane your suitcase could have been up against those of smokers.

The cab you took back to the airport could have been driven by a smoker, whether or not he smoked with you in the cab (and he probably only smokes when no one is in it and he thinks no one is watching).

A proper non-smoking room should be on a floor that is all non-smoking. I had one at the Stardust and the hallway was sented as well. There should not be any ashtrays in the room itself as well. The newer hotels should have plenty of good non-smoking rooms.
