I saw Dennis Rodman playing 2-4K a hand blackjack at the Hard Rock about 12 years ago. Played Blackjack at Bally's with Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White. He was a very nice guy.
I usually don't notice celebrities. Two exceptions - once at Rio when I almost literally walked smack dab into poker pro Eruc Seidel. The other time was when Patti and I were playing blackjack at South Point and Flavor Flav and his gal-du-jour sat down with us. It was just the four of us at the table. I probably wouldn't have recognized him without the giant clock he was wearing. I don't know a lot about him, but as far as blackjack basic strategy he's about as brilliant as hamster food...
Bill & Chelsea Clinton at the Paris breakfast buffet Flavor Flav at the craps table in Mandalay Bay James Denton (plays Mike on Desperate Housewives) in Planet Hollywood Pamela Anderson outside of Ballys Cheryl Hines playing black jack at the Venetian Chris "Jesus" Fergueson at Terry Fator Phil Helmuth at Aria (Ivey Poker room) I think there is more, but I'm scatter brained today.
Years ago my brother and I were at Bacchanal Restaurant at CP when David Copperfield and Claudia Schiffer were canoodling in a corner table. Another time we were in the airport waiting to board when we saw David Brenner. My brother wanted to talk to him and I said don't bother him. My brother went to get some coffee and I somehow struck up conversation with him. My brother was ticked off because he came back with coffee David and I were having a conversation like we were old friends.
Funny Story Speaking of celebrity spottings (that almost sounds dirty) a few years back, in Vegas with some friends, we're walking past the Imperial palace and all of a sudden, one of the girls starts freaking out.......Right There....in front of the Imp....is Dolly Parton!!!! OMG!!! She couldn't believe it......and Dolly is posing for pictures!!! OMG!!!!! So she begs us to take her picture with Dolly and OMG!!! Her mother is never going to believe this and as we're walking away we point out to her which show is playing at the Imp (Legends) and slowly it dawns on her that it really wasn't Dolly.....but what the hey, the picture will still look good.........
I had to google to find out who that was .... and yep.... motorboating would certainly be my preference too! :evillaugh
Im the same way apparently...my only celeb sighting in vegas was Jaime Pressly, and the only reason I noticed her was when a buddy walked up to me with his mouth wide open, pointing to the girl standing a foot away from me.
Last year i played blackjack with kato kaelin. saw him in the pisser and asked how he was doing and he said "making a killing" i thought that was amusing also saw evander holyfield outside the luxor last year.
Mine are all dated since we now stay downtown. Jimmy Walker was a regular at The Stardust sportsbook. Rode in an elevator at the Frontier with Bob Newheart. Pete Rose and Rollie Fingers signing autographs, does that even count? Played craps with Rita Rudner for about an hour at the Sands. Don Rickles and David Brenner walking through Orleans. Kenny G, also at Orleans. Saw Elvis from about 200 ft away in the casino at Hilton. Haven't seen anybody downtown and I've got to admit I have never heard of quite a few people that have been named in this thread.
Waiting for my wife at the entrance to Caesar's spa when I heard the lady at the desk whisper that Jerry Seinfeld was on his way down. (He was appearing at the Colisseum that night). Five minutes later, He walked by me with an agent looking type. I never would have recognized him wearing shades and a ball cap if I hadn't been tipped off.
In March 2010 we heard there was a pre-game party at Caesars for the US Poker Heads-up Tournament so we headed over just to see. Well, met and talked to almost every poker pro you have ever seen on TV. Most stayed out in the casino area talking with everyone and taking pictures - didn't see real interested in going into the party. It was a total blast. Daniel N. Gus H, Eli E, Doyle B, Mike the Mouth, Phil L, Antonio E, Scotty N....on & on..they were all great except Phil Helmuth - what an A$$. We have great pics and wonderful memories of all the pros we watch all the time. Once (maybe 2005) in The Hilton, Tommy Smothers of the Smothers Brothers got on the elevator with us. Saw Bruce Jenner's son in a casino walking thru with his "posse" a couple of years back (sorry can't remember his name but he is a cutie). Who knows who we will "spot" next month.... lol
I seen Nigel lythgoe, one of the judges from 'So you think you can dance' at the strip house in Planet hollywood. A couple of days later i seen Will Ferrell, Holly Madison, Jeremy Piven and a few of the stars from the Office in the Planet Hollywood casino for the premiere of Jeremy Pivens movie 'The Goods:Live hard,Sell hard'. If any of you guys seen the movie you'll know that it sucked hard. Jeremy Piven came across as a real arrogant a$$ in person.
Saw Randy Couture at Caeasar's last june. We just walked from check-in and was about to eat where i spotted him at the main entrance. He heard me gasp from 20ft away and looked at me as i am a HUGE fan of his. We spoke for a few minutes and couldn't have been any nicer. A couple days later i saw Rashad Evans when i got off the elevator at Caeasar's. He was power walking. I noticed him from 50ft away and didn't start to put it together til he came closer. And without thinking, i stopped him and grabbed a pic. He was really nice considering he seemed in a rush.
Yep. It was when Hillary was running for President. We were trying to leave after breakfast and were stopped at the exit. Our group of four were the only one's leaving. Secret Service stopped us and wouldn't let us leave. In walks Bill, Chelsea and several other people. He shook our hands and walked in. My wife and I went onto the casino floor and were waiting for another couple to change. Not long after we were told to stand against the rail near that bar that is shaped like a gazebo. I was wearing a UGA pullover and a UGA hat. One of Clinton's secret service guy's said "Go Dawgs!" as he walked by. Clinton was a couple of steps behind him, heard him laughed, and shook my hand again.
They didn't eat at the buffet, did they? I will admit that glad-handing in Vegas is a great idea because you can interact with people from all fifty states and even internationally.
I'm not sure because they were entering as we were leaving. They were in there for close to half an hour, so they may have picked at a few things.
On my connecting flight from Phoenix to Vegas sat a row behind..... one of the Smothers Brothers. The other brother was a few rows away from the other one. I forget which one is which but he woudn't shut up. Was yapping the whole flight. I think it was Tom. LOL my claim to fame.
Sat on the plane next to a prominent NBA Players Agent. Talked to him the whole flight and learned some interesting stuff about his line of work, negotiations, etc.. Played blackjack for several hours seated next to Jean Smart at the Venetian. Didn't know who she was until somebody at the table recognized her. Very nice lady. She has been on Designing Women, 24, the new Hawaii 5-0, and a ton of other shows & movies. Watched Charles Barkley in the Mandalay Bay high limit room play roulette with nothing but $1,000 chips. Pete Rose over at Caesars in the sports memorabilia shop . . .
