I did not post yesterday after arrival, really nothing interesting to report. I did the 20 trick and got upgraded to a petite suite overlooking the flamingo wildlife habitat and pool. Played a bit of everything but did not win any. I then went to the room for a shower and to relax before going back down to the casino. Took my last bit of the daily budget with me and made it last for three or four hours, including breaking even at a 2/4 holdem table. Walked to cosmos and the carnival court but went back to my room and to bed around 1030 local time. Woke up at 430am and was out by 5 and am down 9 bucks. Walked from flamingo to ph and have never been such an attractive guy but I had one very attractive girl approach me in front of flamingo but then asked for 200 bucks, I kindly declined. Same walking to ph, three different girls,
none I would even talk to even if I was paying. More updates later.

Back to the room to relax some. tuna and i gambled a bit, I'm more of a hit and run guy so I never played long. I was watching him play a $15 table so I bought in for $40 and with his help walked away with this


We then went to lunch after a stop at ph so he could change, ate at wicked spoon, that had to be some of the best food I have ever had, with tax and tip $27. Got down to my final $20 bucks of my daily budget and stopped into bills and played some $5 blackjack and cashed out 50 bucks. That quickly went to 20 again. I decided to walk the strip and use all the free plays I could find. First stop was the venition which had a $25 free from acg, turned that into $30 (all free money as I cashed out and left without giving them a dime. Then to wynn and got 8 bucks ahead on free play, next was riveria who gave $1 and I lost it and left. Circus circus had offer for get $15 for $10 and I turned that into $60 . I'm still down for the trip but I'm feeling good, except for knee and ankle.

On another note swa sent a free flight voucher to everyone on yesterdays flight that was delayed 6 hours. I had not had a chance to call them or write so kudos for being proactive.

Gaming update. Maybe luck has changed, from playing free play,
I took 30 of that and bought in at a 10 table, turned it into 50, took that and turned it into 75, which puts my FREE money profit at 115. Although not large wins and still down for the trip it still feels good.

I'm checking out of flamingo tomorrow and moving to golden nugget.

Ok, the plan for today, I'm moving to freemont street. Good news is I have a ton of free plays, bad news I woke up and gambled all of my winnings from yesterday away. I woke up yesterday at 4am, made it to bed at 2am and back up at 5am today. Did the hooker walk lastnight and this morning,
I'm sure I seen a few lastnight but none this morning, that may have had to do with a strong metro presence on foot in the sane area I seen them yesterday. I'm still on budget so that is a positive. I'm not going to do much at the nugget during the day, I'd like some hot tub time, with a bad knee and ankle I could use it. I'm planning on tonight just enjoying downtown. I went to carnival court lastnight, it was a party and music was great but I felt out of place, most were in their 20s and many ladies were with men, assume boyfriends by the bump and grinde actioni was solo. Iv never had issues meeting people in Vegas but as I get older the crowed either doubles my age or are much younger and not talking to older men. Either way I'm still enjoying my time, maybe not as much as in the past but that's just because I would love some company. People complains about flamingo, I find the room very comfortable, the staff is decent and the place is clean. Sure its older and the crowed hanging out here is as well but I'd stay again, I paid $36/night plus tax and $20 trick.

Oh, saw big Elvis, he was great. It was my first time seeing him. Stopped at strip burger for a shake,
it was just ok. The weather is perfect. Things I wanted to do but never did as of now:
Mirage volcanio, just missed it lastnight and was not waiting around for an hour.
Strat tower and eiffle tower. Never made it to strat and the line was to long for the eiffle.
Walk to aria and down to see the trop. Made it as far as cosmo and that was it, pain set in.

I don't know how you do it...getting up at 4/5am...I used to have a hard enough time getting up at 9-9:30 just to get a chair by the pool LOL

 

I work at 6am est so I'm use to bring up early.

Really enjoying your trip report! Hope you get some relaxation in so that your knee and ankle feel better. I always hit the Golden Nugget when I am in Vegas, they have some Wizard of Oz machines which have been very good to me there. LOL I stayed at the Flamingo a few years ago. It was a comped room and because our flight was delayed (they closed the airport down because of rain) they were accomodating several planefuls of people and gave me a wonderful view of the Bellagio fountains. It was fun there.

 

Thank you for posting about the Flamingo. We're staying there in June for our 30th anniversary. It was my husband's decision. We might try the $20 trick, too. If it doesn't work, no problem, we'll be happy with our room. We'll be in LV, after all.

 

Lost most of what I had started the day with and winnings. I was super sore so I had a massage at the spa here at the nugget,
it was refreshing and cost me 110, I spent 3 hours there so I figure I would have list that gaming.

No luck at all. Iv depleted my budget and should not have spent the money for the massage but its all good. Even if I use tomorrows budget I will be under my projected budget.
